She immediately calmed when Morgan admitted to being scared, causing her heart to ache. She suddenly felt like the biggest jerk in the world; she should have known that the woman was afraid of something happening- it wasn’t like she hadn’t told her at least a dozen times in the past few days alone. When Morgan pulled her arm out of her grasp she would let out a soft sigh, only to blink as the woman suddenly pulled her close. When the woman kissed her she would reach up to gently brush her fingers over her cheek, forcing a reassuring smile onto her face, “Morgan, I would never, ever get tired of you. And you said it yourself; my father wouldn’t be able to marry me off without your permission. I love you too, you have to know that,” she would murmur softly, wrapping her arms around the other woman. When she spoke again, asking Abi about making the relationship public she would offer the woman a genuine smile, “Love, there is never a day when I don’t wish that we could be made public,” she would murmur softly, “You should make an announcement,” she says, gently brushing her hands over her love’s back in a soothing manner. If it would make Morgan happy then she knew it was the right thing to do.

She smiled softly at Abaigael's words and nodded, though she remembered then that they were both in a state of dress that probably indicated they should be somewhere other than out in the hall. "Later, then," she said with a laugh. "After we get some food and a bath, and dress in something more appropriate to address a kingdom," she giggled softly. She let her arms drop back down to her sides, but she linked one arm through one of Abi's and turned them back towards her chamber. When she pushed the door open it was to find the tub in the center of the room, steam still rising from the fresh water within it. Her gaze lingered longingly on it for a moment before the growl of her stomach interrupted all thoughts of bathing. She giggled. "Yep, it's definitely time to get something to eat," she said as she unlinked her arm from Abaigael's and trotted across the room happily. She paused at the table and grabbed a slice of bread from the tray that she pulled a piece off of and popped into her mouth. A sigh escaped her lips after she swallowed the piece of bread and she settled back into the chair that she'd been sitting in earlier.

Abi couldn’t help but laugh when she heard Morgan’s words, “I couldn’t agree more,” she would say with a grin, allowing the woman to lead her back towards her chambers. She was relieved that the woman seemed to be in a much better mood, and while she felt anxiety trying to claw its way out of her chest she would push it down and try to be as happy as the Queen. It wasn’t her that would be losing anything if this went sour, anyways; she was merely a Maid of Honor to the Queen with not special titles to her name, so if Morgan was happy with the odds then she would be as well. She would try to be, anyways. When they got to the room and Morgan’s stomach growled she would grin, watching as she moved over to sit at the table and eat a piece of bread. She wondered briefly if she was hungry, though she decided that she must be and would move to sit down opposite her lover. She would pick up a grape and pop it into her mouth, smiling at the Queen as she ate it. She wondered briefly what had happened to them spending the day alone together, though she would let the thought slip out of her head; telling herself that this was much better by far.

She smiled at Abi, though she could sense the tension that hung in Abaigael's stomach. She was worried about how this was going to go too, but she was trying to force herself to think only positive things. "We will get through this, I promise," she whispered to Abi as she reached across the table and squeezed one of her hands. She finished her piece of bred and ate a few bites of fruit and cheese before she stood up from the chair and crossed the room to the door. She pushed the lock into place and decided that she'd had enough food for the time being. The tub water was still steaming and definitely calling her name. She strode across the room to the tub, stopped to strip her bed garments, and slowly stepped into the tub. She lowered herself carefully, making sure she didn't do something stupid like slip and knock her head against the back of the metal tub. Once she was immersed in the steaming water a contented sigh escaped her lips. Sometimes all it took was a hot bath to wash the stress away, or at least it helped to relieve some of the tension in her muscles that the stress caused.

She would smile at Morgan when she reached across the table to squeeze her hand, “I know,” she murmurs softly, gently grabbing her hand and lifting it so that she could press a gentle kiss to her skin. She would let go shortly after, watching as the woman in front of her ate while only picking little pieces here and there from the extravagant amount of food that the servants had brought. When Morgan got up and went to the door she would gently bite her lip, watching as she locked it before stripping down and climbing into the tub. It was interesting, how one moment her mind could be completely cluttered with annoying little thoughts, and the next it could be completely blank; so quiet that she expected to hear the chirping of crickets in her own head. Morgan tended to have that effect on her. She felt a blush gathering in her cheeks, though before it could turn her face into a tomato she would move to one of the chests, rifling through the clothes as she searched for something for Morgan to wear, instead of watching her bathe like a creeper. Not that it would necessarily be creepy that she was watching her lover, but still.

She smiled faintly when Abaigael lifted herself from the chair and busied herself with something or another so that she wasn't just starring at Morgan in the bath. She shook her head slightly before she held her breath and scooted down farther in the tub to submerge her head completely. She came back up with a gasp for air and lifted her hands out of the water to scrub them over her face. The servants had left soap on the metal tray that was attached to the tub and she couldn't help but smile. She picked up the soap gingerly and scrubbed herself from head to toe; quite literally. Once she was completely scrubbed to her own standards she'd rinse herself off and slowly pushed herself up until she was where she could put her feet up underneath of herself. She stood and grabbed the sheet that the servants had left folded near the tub. Once she stepped out of the tub she wrapped the sheet around herself and let out a sigh of contentment as she rubbed her hands over her face again. The bath had definitely made her feel a thousand times better. She took a moment to just stand in the cooler air of the room before she began drying herself off.

Abi continued to rifle through the chests as Morgan took her sweet time in the bath, busying herself with finding not only a dress for her to wear, but accessories as well. It didn’t take nearly as long as she had expected though, because after she had laid out everything the woman was still in the tub. She would shake her head a bit, closing her eyes tightly as she tried to choke back the laughter that was trying to well up in her throat. She found that she viewed herself as acting rather ridiculous, though she couldn’t stop herself. The blush that had settled over her cheeks hadn’t faded yet, and she kept her gaze locked on the floor when she wasn’t busy at the chests. She knew that Morgan was likely to tease her for ages about it, and that only made it significantly worse. So, while she continued to wait she would grab a random book out of the Queen’s selection before moving to sit on the floor at the far side of the bed, ruffling her fingers over the pages as she absentmindedly sat there. She wouldn’t open the book, though, simply staring at the cover and sliding her fingers along the pages. It wasn’t that she didn’t like to read, she just had too much on her mind to consider it.
When she finally heard Morgan climb from the bath she would tap her fingers gently on the cover of the book, leaning her head back against the bed as she continued to sit there, waiting for her to get dressed. She didn’t hear her moving, though, and would bite her bottom lip as she tried to figure out what the other woman was doing, “Clothes are…uhm. On the bed,” she would call out, feeling rather weird acting this way about her own lover. Though, she did managed to convince herself that just because she had a lover didn’t mean that she couldn’t be shy about that sort of thing.

Morgan's attention turned to Abi when the woman spoke up and she couldn't help a soft giggle at the look on the woman's face. It was as though Abaigael was doing her best to give her as much privacy as possible. It was, actually, one of the things that she loved about the other woman. "Thank you," she said sweetly as she walked over to the bed and quickly exchanged the sheet for her undergarments. She eventually pulled the dress on, though she couldn't reach the laces at the back to do them up. So she settled onto the bed and pulled her hair over one shoulder. She picked up the brush that was on a stand beside her bed and began pulling it through her hair to rid herself of the tangles caused by bathing and the day in general. "Love, would you mind lacing up my dress," she asked as sweetly as possible. Normally she would have called in a servant for that sort of thing, but since Abi was already there in the room she figured she would at least ask the other woman to do it for her. Of course, if Abaigael didn't want to do it all she would have to do would be open the door and summon a servant.

A smile would tweak the corners of her lips when Morgan thanked her, “You’re welcome,” she would murmur, continuing to sit there as the other woman dressed. She set the book down beside her and smiled as she listened quietly as the woman sat on the bed and brushed her air, absentmindedly humming. Though, when Morgan asked if she would mind lacing up her dress she would laugh softly, “Of course not,” she would murmur before climbing onto the bed and sitting cross-legged behind the woman, pushing gently on her shoulders so that she would straighten her posture a tad bit. Before she began to lace up the dress she would trail her fingers gently over the other woman’s skin, gently biting her lip before quickly shaking her head and pulling her fingers away, a chuckle falling from her lips. Afterwards she would quickly lace up the dress, leaning forward to gently kiss the base of Morgan’s neck once she was finished before pulling away and moving to climb off of the bed, more comfortable now that the woman was completely dressed. “Feel better?” she would ask with a tip of her head, wondering if the bath had helped soothe the other woman’s emotional state, though she knew better than to ask that outright.

She shivered slightly when Abaigael's fingers trailed over the skin of her back and she couldn't help the smile that plastered to her face. She waited patiently while Abi laced up her dress and then she felt a kiss pressed to the base of her neck and she smiled. "Thank you, love," she said sweetly. "Yes. Worlds better," she said with a laugh when Abi asked if she felt better now. She pulled continued to run the brush through her hair idly as she waited for it to dry, which was quite possibly one of the slowest processes ever. Too bad they didn't have hair dryers back then. Anyway she turned and pressed a soft kiss to Abaigael's temple and then placed the brush back on the stand beside her table. She stood up from the bed and paced across the room, lost in thought for a moment before she returned and donned the accessories that Abi had picked out for her. She was nervous as she thought about how and when she should address the kingdom with the news that they were a couple. "I'm not really sure how I'm supposed to do this," she admitted faintly to the other woman.

She would watch silently as the woman pulled the brush through her hair, knowing that she was trying to get it to dry though she knew it was probably going to take awhile. Eventually the woman would stand and move to kiss her cheek before pacing around the room. She would frown, tilting her head a bit as she watched the woman, wondering what might be going through her head. When she finally went back and donned her accessories she would bite her bottom lip, waiting for the woman to finally speak and tell her what was on her mind. When she did Abi couldn’t help but frown, immediately moving to wrap the other woman in a comforting hug before stepping back a little, “I know,” she murmurs, though she would offer her a gentle smile, “Just…announce it like you would announce having taken on another husband,” she would suggest, shrugging her shoulders slightly. It sounded like a good idea to her, though she wasn’t exactly sure how the woman would feel about going about it that way. It actually seemed kind of logical to her; if Morgan didn’t make a big deal out of it then it was more likely that other people would take the news calmly.

She melted when Abi wrapped her arms around her and she just leaned into the hug for a moment, even lingering despite the fact that Abi had already given her a suggestion. After a moment she straightened and smiled at the other woman. "You make a really good point that's really hard to argue with," she said with a giggle. She released Abi from the hug and then walked across the room again. She pulled a ribbon from one of her trunks and tied her hair up off of her neck. Then she took a deep breath and marched across the room to the door. She pulled the door open and called to a servant, telling them to have her audience chamber filled with all the important people at court because she had an announcement to make. The servant dipped a bow to her and then scurried off to do as he'd been ordered. She closed the door and then turned around to face Abaigael. "Would you like to accompany me to the audience chambers, or would you prefer me to make the announcement alone," she asked as she bit her lip, uncertain if Abi wanted to be there with her or not.

Abi would beam when the Queen praised her, "I'm glad you think so," she chuckles, gently kissing the other woman's nose before she could move away. When she moved to tie her hair up before marching to the door and demanding that the servant ask everybody of importance to gather in her audience chamber she would bite gently at her lip, having hoped that the woman would give her more time to bathe and ready herself, though she figured that it wouldn't be all that bad; she'd bathed the day before and she figured that she could dress rather quickly.
When Morgan asked if she would like to accompany her she would laugh, finding it amusing that the woman would even need to ask, "I wouldn't miss it for the world," she murmurs softly, dancing forward to gently kiss the woman's cheek, "But, you'll have to give me a few minutes. I need to dress. Unless you would rather have me in your audience chamber in my bedclothes," she would tease before moving away from the woman and towards one of the chests that she had claimed; she often spent the night in the Queen's rooms and needed to be able to change. On her way over she would undress, digging quickly through the chest when she got there. She would dress as fast as was possible, having chosen a dress that didn't require lacing, though she felt rather uncomfortable in it as the lack of laces also apparently meant a lack of material covering her back.
She wouldn't let it bother her right now, though, and would move to where Morgan had left the brush. She would yank it through her hair several times before reaching back to knot her thick mass of hair atop her head. She was finished in less than ten minutes and once she was done she would grin at her lover, "Ready?" she would ask, though the question was accompanied by a nervous lurch of her stomach.

Morgan laughed when Abaigael seemed to think that she needed to hurry. It would take some time for everyone to gather in the audience chamber, so she wasn't too worried about how long it might take the other woman to get ready. "Take your time, love," she'd said. Abi, however, had rushed through getting ready and she couldn't help but smile when the woman turned the finished product to her. "You look beautiful as always," she remarked as she found herself linking arms with the other woman. "I'm as ready as it appears that you are," she teased softly before turning them towards the door to the chamber and walking out of it. Eventually they would find themselves in the audience chamber. Today she kept Abaigael by her side as she walked up to the pair of large throne-like chairs that were set at the front of the chamber.
The crowd was a decent size, but she forced herself to swallow her nerves as she settled into one of the throne-like chairs and directed Abi to settle into the other. She took a deep breath and then cleared her throat to bring silence to the chamber. This was it; she was about to announce to the kingdom that she and Abaigael were more than just very close friends. "Lords and Ladies," Morgan said as she forced a smile onto her face. "I invited you all here today because I have something that I would like to share with you all," she said in a loud and clear tone that sounded much calmer that she felt on the inside. "As you may have guessed or heard rumors on; Lady Abaigael O'Hara is not just a close friend to me. She is my rock, my soul, my heart, and my life. We are in love, and as soon as I can get her to agree and hold a ceremony, we will be getting married. This means that once again the southern kingdom will have two rulers at it's head. I am aware that some of you may question this, but Abaigael and I have been in love for many years and our love is no longer going to be hidden. She will, when I can convince her, become my wife and I hers. For now she is to be seen as the queen's betrothed and treated as such," she announced with a genuine smile. Her gaze turned to Abi and the love etched across her face was plain for all in the chamber to see.

Abaigael smiled when Morgan said that she was beautiful as always, "Thank you," she murmurs, laughing softly as the Queen says that she was as ready as Abi appeared. She was glad that she didn't look the way she actually felt, or else she was pretty sure the woman would make her stay here. When they linked arms she would reach up with her other hand to fidget with the rose on the necklace that Morgan had given her, knowing that it would turn into a nervous habit and she should probably stop before it started but she didn't quite care. When they reached the audience chambers and entered her gaze would immediately flick to the crowd, which made her even more nervous; it felt like everybody in the palace had gathered in the room. She was a bit surprised when Morgan brought her up to the thrones, causing her to frown slightly; she didn't want to sit there, but knew that now wasn't the time to argue so she would settle uncomfortably in the chair.
She would listen quietly as Morgan called the room to attention. She felt herself calming as the other woman spoke, only to startle when she heard Morgan say that there would once again be two rulers. She would glance at the woman, staring as she continued to say that they would be marrying as soon as she agreed. She would swallow quickly, not having expecting this when she gave the woman advice about how to present their relationship. She wouldn't question it just yet, though, and instead turned her attention back to the crowd. When Morgan finished speaking she would glance over to the woman, the look on her face causing her heart stutter; she looked so perfectly in love. She would reach over to grab the other woman's hand, squeezing it gently as her gaze turned back to the audience, a smile curving up the corners of her lips.
