• Recent Events • -Queen Morgan Coughlan married Lady Abaigael O'Hara, who was also coronated as Aibirith's second Queen. -A masquerade followed the evening of the wedding. During the mask a scuffle broke out between King Connall of Axailia and King Duncan of Scotland. -The next day a series of Knight Games was held as a means of entertainment and friendly competition. During the melee part of the Knight Games Lady Knight Cori Frighil (of Axailia) lost her temper, which resulted in the death of Cador Padern. (Commander of England's army.) -Soon after the end of the Knight Games rumors spread across Ireland like wildfire. Chief among those rumors was that England would be bringing war to Ireland's shores. Another rumor claimed that Scotland would be joining her forces with those of England. -Not long after rumors of King Risteard of Idritis turning against the other kingdoms of Ireland began to float around. Upon hearing these rumors Vicereine Andraste Rowan of Axailia met with Grand Duchess Treise O'Seighin of Baile and heir to the Grand Duchy of Aibirith Alana Ahern. Together the three women plotted a way to stop Risteard from turning Idritis against the rest of Ireland. -King Risteard's death was discovered, but a new King was already crowned in his place by the time the news became wide-spread. -Uilliam Sloane -- Commander of Aibirith's army -- spotted the first Englishmen and Scots on the shores of Ireland. Doing his duty he reported the sighting to both his Queen and the King of Axailia. -Scouting parties from both kingdoms were sent to keep an eye on the small number of Englishmen and Scots that landed on Ireland's shores. -An uproar began in Idritis when a young woman by the name of Boadicea Ó Donnchadha was revealed to be a bastard child of the late King Risteard O'Maoduin. Many did not wish to see another O'Maoduin on the throne, but when she gained support from King Whelan himself, others soon began to follow suit. Within the month she was crowned as the new Queen of Idritis. |
