• Plot • Several months ago Queen Morgan of Aibirith married Lady Abaigael O'Hara, making Aibirith the first of Ireland's four kingdoms to ever have two Queens. Following their wedding was a series of Knight Games designed as entertainment and friendly competition between all willing participants of Ireland's kingdoms as well as any from Scotland, England, and Wales. During the Knight Games, Lady Cori Frighil of Axailia lost her temper, which resulted in the death of England's former Commander of the Army, Cador Padern. Unfortunately King Braxton Ackers of England was quite attached to his Commander and highly upset by the man's death. For some time after rumors of England bringing war to Ireland's shores spread across the four kingdoms, and were eventually joined by the rumor that Scotland would be supporting her in those endeavors. Around the same time rumors spread that the King of Idritis would be turning the kingdom against the rest of Ireland and joining England should she bring war to Ireland's shores. Determined to keep this from happening Andraste Rowan, Treise O'Seighin, and Alana Ahern worked out a plan to thwart the late King Risteard. This plan, unbeknownst to all but two others, involved having Risteard killed off. After his death the Earl of Chastershire; Ambrós Whelan, was temporarily crowned as the new King. A few days after this the first Englishmen and Scots were spotted on the shores of Axailia by none other than Uilliam Sloane. These sightings triggered a panic that spread like wildfire across the country as the monarchs called upon their nobles for support in defending their kingdoms. As they rallied their troops a new situation arose in Idritis. A young woman by the name of Boadicea Ó Donnchadha was revealed to be one of Risteard O'Maoduin's bastard children. Much of the Kingdom wanted nothing to do with another O'Maoduin, but she quickly gained support from King Whelan himself. Eventually the two of them gained her enough support from the more important nobles of the Kingdom, and within a month's time she was coronated as the new Queen of Idritis. Now the different armies of the four kingdoms are spread across Ireland as a whole. While many remain in their own kingdoms, some have been sent to other kingdoms for support purposes. Men, and even some women, face the trials of war as Ireland fights to maintain her freedom and keep back the invading nations of England and Scotland. At this moment there is no end in sight to this war. No sign as to which side might be victorious. The decision lies in the hands of our writers. Will the kingdoms of Ireland remain free of outside rule, or will they fall victim to the weapons of the combined forces of England and Scotland? |
