At Abi's exclamation she frowned and then shook her head when the other woman said what she did. She pressed a soft kiss to her forehead and smiled. "I'm flattered that you would think of such a thing, love," she said gently. "But it would actually be a lot less painful for me to be the one to do it than it would be for you," she said as a means of a gentle reminder. "And I'd probably have to kill whoever he is for hurting you," she said with a frown. She didn't like the idea of someone hurting the other woman. Not even in the slightest. Of course she wasn't overly thrilled with the idea of having to sleep with a man in order to possibly get pregnant. But. At least she wouldn't have to go through quite what Abaigael would. Not to mention, she was the master of lay there and take it. Hell, she'd even learned how to pretend that she enjoyed it, but only because she'd gotten worse treatment from her late husband if she literally just laid there. "We're going to have to find a man who doesn't get performance anxiety," she said with a frown. "And those aren't easy to find. Most men aren't capable of getting it up, let alone doing the deed, if they feel pressured," she explained, her frown deepening.

She would blink when she said that it would be more painful for Abi than herself, and then said that she would have to kill the man for hurting her. "I don't quite understand what you're trying to get at," she would admit, a tad embarrassed that what she was saying wasn't clicking for her. Her comments just hadn't made any sense to her. When the woman spoke about finding a man without performance anxiety she would blush a little, not having realized that it was actually a thing. It seemed rather funny, especially considering how often ladies of the court spoke about how men only wanted sex and that they'd do anything for it. "Oh...well. How would we know when we find a person without performance anxiety?" she would ask, obviously baffled. This had seemed like a much easier process just a few minutes ago, and now she wasn't sure what to think about it. "Would we just ask them outright? You don't think they'd lie about it?" she would ask, her brows furrowed a bit and a frown tugging slightly at her lips.

She resisted the urge to laugh when Abi admitted that she didn't understand what she was saying. "Dear. When a woman lays with a man for the first time; there's a barrier that the man has to break. It's quite a painful process; the larger the man is, the more painful it is. And there's blood involved," she admitted, trying to be as gentle but informative as possible about the subject. When she asked about performance anxiety she couldn't help but toss her head back and give a laugh. "I think men are liable to lie about anything they want to," she said with a shake of her head. "Especially when it comes to something like sex. From what I understand they lie about things pertaining to that more than anything else," she said with a lift of her shoulders in a shrug. "I'm not really sure how we go about finding someone who doesn't have performance anxiety, to be honest," she said with a frown. "I guess we would have to kind of just wait and see. Unfortunately that means that the only way to find out for sure is to start the process. If he can't get it up or keep it up it's likely that he either has performance anxiety or some sort of health issue," she said with a shrug.

Abi would blink at the woman explained to her what she’d been talking about, “Oh,” she would murmur, her brows furrowing slightly as she stares at her. “Well…it wouldn’t be any more painful than labor, I suppose,” she would say with a shrug; she’d seen women in labor before, and it seemed like it would be a lot more painful than a little blood after being bedded by a man. She couldn’t help but chuckle when Morgan laughed, only to go on to say that men were liable to lie about anything, especially things like sex. When she said that they wouldn’t be able to tell until they actually started the process she would nod, “Makes sense,” she would murmur, shrugging. It didn’t bother her all that much, though it would kind of suck if they found the perfect man only to realize that he had performance anxiety and that he couldn’t be a donor. “So, when will we start?” she would ask with a tip of her head. She hadn’t meant to give all of the decision making over to Morgan, but it seemed to always happen that way. “And do you have anybody in mind?” she would ask.

She laughed softly at her comment about it not being more painful than labor. "No, I don't suppose it would be, but then I hate to see you in pain," she admitted with a frown. When she asked the questions of her she canted her head to the side. "Whenever you would like to start. Though, I don't really have anyone in mind," she admitted a bit sheepishly. "I hadn't really considered a donor," she said and found herself actually thinking on it for a while. "Well, there is someone that we could ask," she said after a moment or two of thought. "I'm not sure how you would feel about asking him, but Quinlan O'Hare tends to be an extremely helpful young man," she said a bit awkwardly. The idea of asking anyone for this just made her feel awkward, but she would do anything for her wife. "He's a strong, well built young man, and should be relatively potent," she said, feeling for all the world like she was talking about a stud horse instead of an actual person. "And he seems to have a good, level head on his shoulders," she said with a giggle. "Oh gods. I feel like I'm talking about a breeding horse instead of a person," she admitted with a shake of her head. "Though, I suppose for all intents and purposes this isn't much different than that."

She would blink when the woman said that she hated to see her in pain, “Well, I don’t think you’d see me in pain during it? Would you? You’d be elsewhere. If anything would kill a man’s libido it would be their…partner’s? spouse staring awkwardly at him as he tried to do…it,” she would say with a laugh and a shrug. Honestly, she wouldn’t care either way, but she figured whatever man did it actually would. Upon hearing the woman say that she didn’t have anybody in mind, only to contradict herself and start talking about Quinlan. She would blink and cock her head to the side as she stares at the woman, trying to figure out if she was joking. Wouldn’t it be awkward for their donor to be somebody that they worked so closely with? Though, she had to agree that he would be a rather perfect candidate. When Morgan spoke about feeling as if she was talking about breeding horses Abi couldn’t help but laugh. Really laugh; side aching, eyes watering laughter that just wouldn’t stop spilling from her lips. After awhile she managed to calm down, though she still had a rather amused grin spread out across her face, “Well…Quin isn’t a bad idea,” she would say, though she was unable to refrain from giggling afterwards.

She'd frowned at Abi's response about not seeing her in pain. "Well of course, but the fact is that I would still know," she said with a sigh. If Abi had made up her mind about wanting to be the one to get pregnant, she knew that she would give in to the other woman's wishes eventually. But that didn't stop the thought from bothering her. She shook her head to try to push those thoughts to the back of her mind as she came up with the first person that she could think of. When Abi burst into laughter she starred at her for a moment before her lips split in a grin and she joined the other woman's laughter with her own. When the laughter died and Abi said that Quin wasn't a bad idea she smiled and lifted her shoulders in a shrug. "We could think of someone else, if you're uncomfortable with him. I admit that it might be awkward for him to be the sperm donor since we work so closely with him," she said. "And I'm not sure that he wouldn't be the type to want something to do with the child, so it might be a better idea to find someone else to do the sperm donor thing if you're thinking about not wanting the man to have much to do with the child."

She would ponder what Morgan had said about Quinlan for several moments, reaching up to drag her fingers through her hair as she thinks about it. After awhile she would shrug, “Well, the child would pick out a father figure anyways, and even if they didn’t know that their father was Quinlan, that father figure would probably end up being him anyways. He works so closely with us that it’s inevitable,” she would say with another shrug. “At least we know Quinlan. We know that he’s not insane or anything like that. We also know that he doesn’t have some sort of weird disease,” she would murmur, more thinking out loud than talking to her wife. She would hum softly as she thinks more about it, wondering about any complications that might arise from the man being the donor, though she really couldn’t think of any besides it possibly being awkward. “I’m willing to use him if you are. And if he’s okay with it and…able to perform,” she would say, her cheeks growing pink with the last statement. “So, which of us is going to do it?” she would ask, canting her head a bit to the side as she watches Morgan. She would be lying if she didn’t say that she wanted to be the one, but she could also understand that her wife might also want the same opportunity.

She smiled as her wife debated Quinlan out loud. It was rather entertaining to listen to what Abi had to say about the man, and she had to agree that Quin probably would have ended up as the child's father figure. She was definitely amused by the comments that Abi made about Quin's sanity and lack of weird diseases. "We can at least ask," she said with a shrug and an assuring tone to her wife. She absolutely adored Abaigael and would do whatever she could to keep the other woman happy. Even if it meant allowing her wife to be the one to carry their child. Not that she didn't want Abi to be able to experience that; she was just terrified of something happening to her wife. "Well, dear," she said and tried to calm the butterflies in her stomach as she spoke. "If you're set on being the one to carry the child, then I won't hold it against you. I've wanted to be a mother for many years now, so I'm not going to argue over who gets to carry the baby," she said softly. "But. If you're not up for it, I would be happy to be the one to take on the responsibility," she said, trying to hide the fact that the idea of being pregnant was actually one that excited her. While she knew pregnancy wasn't exactly easy on the woman; for some reason she'd always wanted to experience it herself.

When Morgan spoke about not holding it against her if she wanted to be the one to carry the child she would grin, moving to wrap her arms tightly around the woman and shifting up onto her tip-toes to press a kiss to her lips. Though, when she heard the woman say that if she didn’t want to then she would be happy to take on the responsibility she would blink, suddenly realizing that it was probably something that her wife had wanted since before she’d even begun to think of such things. “Well, I want you to be happy as well. It’s not like we wouldn’t want more children eventually, anyways,” she would say with a shrug, “If you really want to do it, I think you should,” she would say with a grin and a nod, “Like I said earlier, it doesn’t really matter who carries the child,” she would say with a soft laugh. Okay, so she might have wanted to be the one to do it, but it would make her happier if Morgan was happy as well. Something told her that she wouldn’t really be happy to see Abi doing it anyways; she would be too worried.

She smiled and wrapped her arms around Abaigael, returning the kiss that the other woman gave her. "True. We can always have more children in the future," she said, nodding. Though when Abi said that she should do it if she wanted to she bit her lip. "Only if you promise not to be mad at me for it," she said sweetly. She'd never wanted children with her deceased husband because, well, for obvious reasons, really. But she'd wanted children in general for as long as she could remember. She tightened her arms around Abi and pressed a kiss to the woman's forehead. "I love you," she said with a smile. "So shall we give him less of a chance of saying no by both of us asking him, or do you think we should put less pressure behind it and have one of us casually mention it in conversation?" she asked, her tone obviously joking. She honestly had no idea how they were supposed to go about broaching this particular subject with the man. He was usually really good about doing things they asked of him, but being a "sperm donor?" What would his reaction to that be? Oh to be a fly on the wall for that conversation.

She would laugh when Morgan said that she would only do it if Abi promised to not be mad at her for it, “I wouldn’t be mad at you for it. I promise,” she would murmur, trying to reassure the woman. Upon hearing Morgan say that she loved her she would grin, “I love you more,” she would say, smiling back at the woman. When she asked how they should approach Quin about the topic she couldn’t help but laugh, “I think we should both talk to him about it. He’d probably be more comfortable if only one of us asked him, but I’m selfish and I want to hear the conversation,” she would say with a laugh. “Honestly, though, I think he’d be uncomfortable about it at first no matter how we asked him, so there’s no point in really worrying about it. When do you want to ask him?” she would ask eagerly, excited to get the ball rolling on this. For some reason she didn’t quite bring into consideration that Quin might refuse to do this for them, she only thought that it was a matter of getting around to asking him. Which was probably rather selfish of her, but she really did want a child.
