Morgan Coughlan
She continued brushing Abi's hair for some time while the other woman tried to think of what she'd like to do. When she suggested a walk, despite claiming not being sure of what she wanted to do, Morgan's face brightened. As long as she could keep the woman from doing something reckless she was happy to oblige her with a walk. "Where to, then? The gardens, or did you have some other place in mind?" she asked as she put the brush aside and stood up, helping Abi to her own feet. No, this wasn't her trying to be over-bearing or anything, it was just simply her trying to be nice, though she was starting to get the feeling lately that Abaigael might find her a bit over-bearing. "Or," she said with a frown, suddenly feeling a bit insecure at that thought. "If you'd rather do something on your own," she said, but let her voice trail off. Actually, come to think of it, she knew that she could be a bit over-whelming to most people, especially with her constant need to take care of others. Or at least her constant need to take care of Abi. Especially after what her late husband had done to them as individuals as well as lovers.

When Morgan helped her to her feet she would smile, though instead of letting the woman move away she would wrap her in a quick hug. "Thank you," she says sweetly before letting go and moving to go find a ribbon that she could use to tie her hair back with. Though, before she could even begin to look for one Morgan spoke again, causing her to frown and turn back to face the woman. She would look at her for a minute, biting her bottom lip as she tried to figure out why the woman would offer such a thing. She wondered if maybe she had something else that she would rather do, though she couldn't imagine quite what it might be, "Where did that come from?" she would ask, wringing her hands together as she waited for an answer. There was never a time when she didn't crave Morgan's company, and she knew that she had already admitted to the woman that she didn't like to be alone, so it was kind of confusing as to why she would suggest such a thing. She felt her heart stutter as she suddenly became nervous as to what her answer might be, but she would try her hardest not to let it show; she wanted the woman's honesty, and she knew that she would sugarcoat whatever it was that she was going to say if she knew that she was distressed.

Morgan Coughlan
She shifted uncomfortably as Abi seemed distracted for a moment. However, when the other woman turned her attention on her she felt even more uncomfortable. And when Morgan felt uncomfortable she had to move around. Instead of answering right away she moved off to look through her trunks of dresses until she found a dress that was slightly more suitable to taking a walk in this weather. The summer sun was getting to be a bit too hot for long sleeve dresses, even those that were made from the lightest material that she had. She summoned a servant to help her change into the dress, and it was only once she was changed that she would turn her attention back to Abaigael. "I didn't mean anything by it," she started with a frown and she bent over to dig through the same trunk for a ribbon to tie her hair up off her neck. "It's just that sometimes I feel like you might find me a little over-whelming with wanting to be around you so often," she admitted with a frown, though her head was still buried in the trunk. After a moment of fidgeting with the items in the trunk she pulled out a ribbon that she then used to tie her hair up with. Only then did she turn to look at Abi, and she lifted her shoulders in a shrug as if it weren't a big deal.

She frowned when the Queen ignored her in favor of picking out a different dress and whatnot, feeling anger flare up in her chest. Here she was all worried about what the woman might have to say, waiting for an answer, and she decided that it was time for her to change. Her jaw would clench as she turned her back on Morgan, slamming her hands down on the chest that she had turned to when she went to look for a ribbon. She didn't get angry often, and normally wouldn't even have thought about doing something so...aggressive, but today had been extremely stressful and she was emotionally strung out. Being ignored by Morgan didn't really help, either. She would stand with her hands against the chest and her head bowed for several moments before she finally moved, rifling through the chest before she finally came up with a ribbon. She would tie her hair back in jerky movements before whirling around as Morgan finally addressed her. "Right," she mutters as the woman says that she hadn't meant anything by it.
When the woman went on to say that she had feared that Abi thought that she was being overbearing she would snort and shake her head, narrowing her eyes as the woman continued to dig through a different chest. "So you ignore me?" she would ask, her voice rather high though she wouldn't wait for an answer and instead stormed towards the door. "Whatever. If you think you've been around me too much, and you want to ignore me then so be it," she would snap before swinging the door open and exiting into the hall. Sooner or later she would regret her actions, but right now she was just too frazzled to think about it.

Morgan Coughlan
"I didn't ignore you, I was trying to figure out how to say it," she snapped at Abi's retreating form. The other woman's anger ignited her own and she stormed across the room to slam the door and throw the lock into place. Fine. If Abi wanted to act like that then she could go right ahead and throw a tantrum. A growl escaped her chest, but really all she felt like doing was chasing after Abi, or crying, and since she wasn't about to let the other woman have the satisfaction of being chased after she threw herself down onto her bed and buried her face in her arms, sobbing softly against the pillows. Her day had been stressful and emotional as well, and now all of the crap of the day came pouring out in a sobbing fit. When she could cry no more she slowly lifted herself up into a sitting position and wiped away the tears that stained her face. She hung her head and heaved a deep sigh before moving across her chambers to the reflective glass in the corner. She shook her head at the mess she'd made of the make-up she'd had done earlier that morning, not to mention the mess she'd made of her hair by flinging herself onto her bed.
Squaring her shoulders she unbolted her door and ordered a servant into her chambers to help her fix her hair and make-up. Once in a while she could allow herself to break down, but eventually, and usually quickly, she had to force herself back into that queen crap. With a sigh she found herself changing her entire look yet again. A new dress, because she'd crumpled the other one beyond belief, a new hair style because she'd messed her hair up so horribly, and a new dose of make-up. Once her appearance was fixed she decided that, despite Abi being angry with her, a walk in the gardens sounded like a good idea. Maybe it would help relieve some of her stress. Actually, on second though, she'd rather go for a ride. Turning away from the door that lead to her gardens she exited her chambers and began the walk down to the courtyard where she'd had her horse earlier. By the time she got down there, for she had ordered a servant to have a stable boy bring out her mare again, the horse was waiting, saddle and all, for her in the court yard. This time she was choosing to ride without escorts. Probably a stupid thing for a queen to do.

She cringed when she heard the door slam behind her, her heart leaping into her throat when she also heard the lock slip into place. Morgan had never done that to her before, though Abi had also never stormed out on her either. She would whirl around and bash her hand against the door before charging down the hall and towards her own chambers. She felt tears threatening to spill from her eyes, but she refused to cry she just wouldn't be able to bear herself any longer if she did. Once inside she would move to rifle through her own chests for what seemed like forever before finally pulling out a light cloak decorated in her own family's colors before donning it. She would take in a deep breath and bring her hand up to her forehead for a moment before shaking her head and marching out of her room and down the hall once again. She would bi-pass the Queen's chambers, though, and continued down into the courtyard instead. Once there she would make her way over to the stables and make her way back to the tack room where she knew a stable boy was waiting. "I want you to ready a horse for me," she said, her voice calm though her cheeks were still flushed with anger. "Not just any horse, I need you to ready a stallion," she would instruct before moving to stand outside of the barn, leaning against the wall. It would seem like a little thing, but it was more an act of defiance; she knew that Morgan would never have let her ride a beast like the one she was requesting.
Soon enough, the stable boy was leading out a horse for her, saddled and everything. "Thank you," she would tell the lad, only to grimace as she noticed that two guards had also mounted up. Of course; they wouldn't let the Queen's Maid of Honor leave on her own. She would merely shake her head, and despite being sore from the fall from early she would swing herself up into the saddle and carefully direct the stallion over towards where the guards were waiting, "You don't have to accompany me. It's going to be a long ride," she would explain, "I'm taking a trip to Pearblossom," she would say, rather loudly, before digging her heels into the stallion's sides and taking off, thundering past the barn.

((THE NEXT DAY)) She woke with her cheek pressed against Morgan’s chest, one arm drape over the woman with the other trapped beneath her neck. Her silver eyes would blink rapidly and she would retract her arm in order to rub her hand over her eyes before placing it back where it had been, not quite willing to get up just yet. Her body was really sore from the fall and then riding a huge stallion, though mentally she was faring a lot better than she had been the previous night. She was feeling pretty confident about how the day would go, but she also didn’t want to get out of bed. Not to mention that she really couldn’t without waking Morgan up, which she really didn’t want to do. The Queen must be exhausted; all of the drama from yesterday combined with all of the other Queenly stresses she had would surely have caused a panic attack in a much weaker woman. So she would just continue to lie there, watching as the sun rose in the window and cast rays of light into the room while she gently stroked her fingers along her love’s side. She could’ve lied and said that she was trying to think of a way to make last night up to Morgan, but to be honest her mind was completely blank, thinking about nothing except for the rise and fall of Morgan’s chest as she breathed, and the sunlight that was shining into the room. She could honestly say that in this very moment, she was truly happy.

Morgan Coughlan
She was only asleep for a moment or two longer than Abi. However, because of the position that they were lying in and the fact that Abi was absently stroking her side, her will to move was zilch. Eventually she moved so that Abi's arm was no longer pinned underneath her head and her eyes slowly fluttered open. A smile split her lips and she gazed at Abaigael through hooded eyes with contentment spread across her face. "Good morning love," she mumbled, still a little sleepy. She stretched her body languidly and leaned over to plant a gentle kiss on Abi's cheek, rubbing noses at the same time. To be perfectly honest, she couldn't be happier or more content waking up like this; with Abaigael in the bed next to her and knowing that they'd spent most of the night just cuddling. She pulled her head back slightly and lifted her right hand to gently brush away a few strands of hair from Abi's face. "Have I told you lately how much I love you and how beautiful you are?" she asked in a soft tone followed by a light giggle. Giggling wasn't something she normally did, but she'd woken up in a really good mood.

Abaigael would hum softly when Morgan moved her head so that her arm wasn’t trapped beneath her neck, shifting her head so that she could look upon the woman’s face just as she spoke. A grin would seize her lips, feeling her heart stutter as she caught sight of the content on her love’s face, “Morning,” she murmurs sweetly, feeling absolutely giddy. When she leaned over to kiss her cheek she would reach up to brush her fingers gently over Morgan’s jaw, sighing contently when they brushed noses before Morgan leaned back. When the woman touched her face to brush away hair she would turn into her hand, gently nuzzling her cheek into it. Upon hearing her question followed by a light giggle she would beam, “Not since last night,” she would say, forcing a pretend pout onto her lips only to have it forced away by a soft bout of laughter. After she was finished laughing she would gaze at Morgan for a moment, mischief twinkling in her eyes; she had a sudden craving to hear the woman giggle again, and she thought that she knew of just the right way to make that happen. So, without wasting another moment she would lurch up so that she was kneeling on the bed before reaching out towards the woman, dancing her fingers along her sides as she attempted to tickle her.

She would all but purr when Abi nuzzled against her in response to the affection that she'd started to show her. When she pouted after saying 'not since last night,' Morgan couldn't help but smile and shake her head. "Well now you know," she said with another little giggle. Suddenly Abi lurched up onto her hands and knees and reached out to start tickling her. Giggles filled the room as Morgan squirmed and tried to get away from Abi, but it seemed as though the laughter impaired her movements. Finally she managed to squirm out of reach, mostly by rolling off the bed and onto the floor. She put her feet on the ground and darted over to the other side of the bed, a grin still plastered to her face. Trying to keep her giggles quiet she crawled back onto the bed and stalked across it on her hands and knees towards the other woman. Once she was within reaching distance she pounced and attempted to pin Abaigael to the bed so that she could try to tickle her back. She, however, didn't go for the sides. No, she instead went for the feet, grabbing a hold of one ankle if she could manage to and flicking her fingers over the arch of the foot.

She couldn’t help but laugh when Morgan squirmed away and rolled onto the floor, closing her eyes clutching her sides as the force of her laughter actually hurt. When she finally did open her eyes she noticed that Morgan had disappeared, only to whirl around as she felt movement on the other side of the bed. She would grin at the woman, edging back a little bit, “Love…” she would start, only to squeal with laughter when the woman pounced and pinned her to the bed, “Wait, wait, wait!” she would laugh, reaching for her hands to no avail as she managed to grab her foot, tickling it. She would flail, trying to jerk her foot away, though it didn’t help all that much, “Nononono,” she would practically squeal, exploding with laughter. Unfortunately, she wasn’t as controlled as Morgan and couldn’t even dream of trying to keep her laughter down, which may or may not be a bad thing. Eventually she would manage to lurch up and grab the other woman’s hands, grinning wildly as her chest still shook with the remnants of laughter, “Why?!” she would ask, her voice rather high-pitched and breathy as she playfully accused Morgan, acting as if she had no idea why the woman would want to do such a thing.

She couldn't help but laugh herself, especially with the way that the other woman squealed with laughter. "Why?" she asked incredulously. "Because payback, that's why," she grinned and when Abi managed to stop her from tickling her feet she'd lean in and plant a kiss on the woman's nose. Suddenly she rolled out of the bed and onto her feet. She darted across the room to the door and summoned a nearby servant with a sing-songy voice. "Would you be so kind as to have some food brought up from the kitchens for Lady Abaigael and myself? Also please see to it that some bath water is heated and the tub is brought up after the food," she said sweetly to the servant, who gave her a stunned look before bowing to her and scampering off to go do as she had asked. She turned then, closing the door behind her and flashed Abi a smile. "Breakfast in bed and a bath afterwards. Then we'll see what the rest of the day has in store for us," she said happily as she walked back across the room to the bed. She jumped up on the bed in an uncharacteristic way, and then flopped down next to Abi, sprawling out across the bed dramatically.

She would shake her head in amusement when Morgan told her that is was payback, only to grin as the woman leaned in to kiss her nose. She was considering giving the woman even more reason to issue payback when she suddenly leapt from the bed and ran across the room to the door. She would laugh as she watches her, sprawling out on her stomach and propping her chin on her hands, smiling as the woman asks for food and water for a bath. When she turned back towards the bed Abi would grin at her, hauling herself up so that she was sitting cross-legged on the bed, “Sounds good to me,” she says with a smile. When the woman jumped up onto the bed and sprawled out she would laugh, reaching out to playfully poke her side, “If only people knew what a sloth their Queen was,” she would tease the woman good naturedly, only to sober slightly. “Speaking of you being a Queen…” she would say with a soft bout of laughter, “There isn’t anything you have to attend to today?” she would ask curiously, tilting her head slightly as she looks at the woman. She knew that there was rarely a day when her lover didn’t have something that she needed to take care of, and she didn’t want to be the reason why she wasn’t able to do her job.

She grinned when Abi said that breakfast and a bath sounded good to her. She was always happy to be able to please the woman. "Hmm. I don't think sloth is my deadly sin," she said with a frown. "Maybe lust," she giggled and wagged her eyebrows at Abaigael playfully before she rolled over onto her stomach and placed a kiss on the woman's cheek. "Hmm. Yes, actually now that you mention it, there is something I have to attend to," she said with a frown. She rolled out of the bed and walked around to the end of it where she opened one of the trunks full of different items. She lingered there longer than necessary, though Abi couldn't possibly know that. Mostly the lingering was her trying to keep herself from giggling or grinning when she did what she was planning to do. After a moment or two she returned to the bed with something in her hands that was draped with a cloth. It was something that she'd bought for Abaigael a while back, but had been waiting for the perfect time to give it to her, and now seemed to be that time. She climbed back into the bed and placed the cloth wrapped item in Abi's lap. "You, my dear, are what I have to attend to today," she said with a grin. Inside the cloth lay a necklace of gold with a medium sized sapphire in the shape of a rose attached to it.

Abaigael laughed and shook her head at the Queen when she said that her deadly sin was lust, though a blush would gather in her cheeks. She was still a lady, and even though she did have a lover she couldn’t help but be embarrassed by talking about that sort of thing. “I don’t think it’s either of those,” she would say with a laugh, moving the conversation along, “I think your deadly sin is avarice,” she would tease, “Keeping something so beautiful all to yourself,” she would laugh, obviously referring to herself. When the woman frowned and said that there actually was something she had to deal with before getting out of bed and moving to her chest Abi would sigh softly, figuring she was digging around for clothing or something. “I think you’re in the wrong chest,” she would call out, though her tone was still light and happy; she knew that the Queen had duties of her own and accepted it. Though, when she came back to the bed carrying something draped in cloth she couldn’t help but frown, “I thought you said…” she would trail off, watching as the woman sat down and placed whatever she was holding in her lap. Instead of picking up the item, though, she would lean forward and kiss the woman’s cheek, practically grinning from ear to ear at her words, “I love you,” she would say softly before pulling back and finally looking down at the tiny package. She would brush her hand over the cloth before carefully unwrapping it, gasping softly when the item inside was unveiled, “Oh my…” she would murmur, gently brushing her fingers over the sapphire rose, “It’s beautiful,” she would whisper.
