Ranait O'Halloran
She giggled when he said that he was always right and then came in with the "let's go then," comment. However, he didn't make any movements to suggest that he was actually about to get up. And when he pressed kisses against her neck she couldn't help the shiver that ran over her. Her gaze filled with passion once again and she found herself using her injured hands carefully to force his head back up to hers. She kissed him again, this one just as full of fiery passion as the other one had been. However, she found herself feeling a bit more bold and slightly more fearless. She used all of her weight to roll him over and pin him against the bed. Fortunately for her she'd had enough practice with this sort of thing when she had gotten into fights or played with her brothers and they had happened to pin her down. Of course, normally she'd be swinging, but that wasn't the case this time. No, this time it was about something else entirely.
A glint of mischief flashed in her eyes as she pinned him to the bed the best that she could with her injured hands and leaned over him to press soft kisses along his neck the way that he had done to her. She, however, trailed kisses from his collar bone, up the side of his neck, and across his jaw line until her lips were pressed firmly against his in yet another one of those passionate kisses. After a moment or two of lingering over the kiss she pulled her head back slightly and grinned at him. "Okay, we can go now," she said with a giggle as she rolled off of him and onto the bed next to where she had pinned him. She bounced on the bed and flung her feet over the other side to the ground and then she stood up. She straightened out her dress in a very lady-like manner, tossed a glance at him over her shoulder, and then proceeded through the door between the bedchamber and sitting room.

He found himself lost in her kiss when she tugged his head away from her neck, groaning ever so softly and closing his eyes. Though, when he felt himself being flipped his eyes would open wide, actually very shocked. He hadn’t expected this at all from her. When she pinned him before moving to kiss from his collarbone up to his neck he would close his eyes tightly, clenching his jaw tightly as he tried to maintain his control. He did reach up to rub his hands down her sides though, letting them settle at her hips. This was so, so, so much more than he had expected from her. When she kissed him passionately once again he would respond in kind, gently squeezing her hips in his hands as he kisses her back.
Though, when she pulled away he felt a pout forming over his lips, cringing at her words, “Oh God…” he would mutter, closing his eyes tightly as he feels her climb from the bed, “You’re trying to kill me, you really are,” he would say, though he would open his eyes and quickly sit up in order to watch her leave the room, reaching up to rub his hand roughly over his face as he watches her. He was flushed with passion, every fiber of his being screaming at him to drag her back into his bedchambers though he would refuse to, knowing that he was better than that.
He would sit there for a moment, staring at the door she had exited through before leaping off of the bed and moving towards the washbasin, splashing the cold water over his face in an attempt to make himself calm down before moving to quickly change. There was no way that he wasn’t going to drag Renny along with him after the Queen, now. It would be impossible for him to wait that long. Once he was finally dressed he would move back into his sitting rooms, immediately moving to sweep Ranait up into a big hug, twirling her around before placing her on the floor again, a broad grin forming over his face as he gently grabs her bandaged hand, “Let’s go,” he would murmur, dragging her along with him out of the room.

Ranait O'Halloran
She'd laughed when he'd accused her of trying to kill him. "Nope, but I am trying to motivate you," she'd said with a giggle before she'd ended up in the sitting room. He didn't seem to be in a hurry to come after her, though, so she settled onto the chair with a soft huff, her legs crossed in a typical lady-like manner. She heard the sound of water splashing in the next room and titled her head to the side, but then realized he must be cleaning himself up the way he had planned to do earlier. When he came out with a fresh set of clothes on she flashed him a smile. She started to say something, but he pulled her up into a hug and twirled her around before setting her back down on her feet. She giggled and gave him a look that said she had no idea what that was about, but it had definitely amused her. When he grabbed her bandaged hand and tugged her alone behind him with a "let's go," she had to laugh.
Why it amused her so much that the man was this intent on going to find the queen; she couldn't really say, but it did. She shook her head and followed after him, though, eager to see how this would go. It wouldn't take very long for them to ride to the eastern kingdom, and she hoped that the queen would still be there by the time they arrived. Actually, she was pretty sure the queen would at least spend this one night there, so catching her shouldn't be too hard.

((OOC: A Few Days Later))
Ranait had been heading towards Davan's rooms, and for a moment she had poked her head in to check on the child. Davan, however, had been in the middle of a nap, so she hadn't stayed to bother the poor child. She'd gone slightly down the hall to Alpin's chambers, deciding that she needed something that reminded her of him to make herself feel better. A smile had claimed her lips when she'd found the shirt and kilt that he had given her to wear when he'd helped her bathe the day that she'd needed stitches in her hand. Without pausing to reconsider she'd changed from her dress into the shirt and kilt, leaving her shoes off since women's shoes looked kind of funny with these clothes. She tied the shirt in the back the way Alpin had shown her, and then she'd left his chambers behind. She'd headed back towards the queen's chambers, but only as a means of getting through to the woman's garden. It was where she went when she needed to think or feel better. A sigh drifted from her lips as she wandered across the garden to the pond and settled onto the rock that she'd been sitting on when she'd first met her husband. It seemed odd to her that it had only been a few days.
She glanced down at the hand that was bandaged, and decided it was probably healed enough that she could at least take the bandage off. So she did so. There was a rather large and ugly scab covering the part of her hand that was bandaged, but she'd rather that than having to constantly walk around with the damn thing bandaged. Giving another soft sigh she turned her attention to the pond and dipped her toes in. She wiggled them a little bit and made a slight face when the fish darted over to suck at them. Shaking her head she allowed herself to become lost in her own thoughts.

He had calmed like his uncle had directed him to do, but as he was calming he had realized that he really shouldn't have screamed at Renny, and that he never should have told her that she wasn't an angel. Because she was, and he knew she was; he'd just been angry and freaking out. But now he was calm and looking for the lady in waiting... or Duchess? to apologize. He checked the Queen's Gardens first, having remembered that she liked the place. It seemed he was rather lucky, as it didn't take much looking through the Gardens before he found the woman, wearing a kilt and sitting on some rocks.
A sad smile would flit over his as he sinks to his knees, watching her for a moment, "I'm surely going to go to hell for upsetting an angel," he would murmur, loud enough for her to hear. He would swallow nervously as he hugs his knees to his chest, resting his head on the top of them. "I'm terribly sorry for behaving like a child. Especially towards you. I know that it wasn't your fault, I was just shocked," he would admit, frowning.

She had, at some point, pulled her feet up out of the water and hugged her knees to her chest while she continued to ponder. She kind of felt bad for letting her anger control the situation towards the end of her "confrontation" with Esras, but going to look for him wasn't something she was willing to do. It wasn't that she didn't want to apologize to him as much as it was the fact that she was afraid of how he would react to seeing her again. However, it seemed that worry was allayed when she heard the sound of his voice behind her. She turned her head, her knees still hugged up against her chest and she blinked at him. "Esras," she said softly, tears forming in her eyes. "You were right. I'm not an angel," she said on a soft sigh. She shook her head when he continued. "I don't blame you," she said and turned to look out over the pond again with another deep sigh. "Honestly, I'm still a little shocked by how quickly everything happened," she admitted a bit sheepishly. She didn't want to go into detail on what had happened because she figured he was probably upset with her over it all still. "I'm sorry that I didn't tell you before everything went down the way that it did," she said in a soft tone. "I thought I had time to come up with a way to tell it to you gently. I didn't want you to hate me," she sighed again.

When he heard her say that he was right he would shake his head, "No, No. I wasn't right," he would murmur, wanting to move closer but figuring that it would be completely inappropriate. He noticed it now, this look in her eyes that he just instinctively knew was love. It wasn't directed at him, obviously, but he had to admit that it looked really good on her. When she said that she was shocked he would smile grimly, "Me too. I can't believe it happened," he would say, his gaze shifting from her and towards the stream. "I never thought I would kill anybody," he would admit, "Not unless there was war anyways." Upon hearing her apology he would laugh softly, more for her sake than the fact that he was amused, "No, there's no need. You didn't have to tell me. And I could never hate you," he would say, smiling wryly, "I knew you were getting married, I just didn't realize it would be so soon," he would say with a shrug, sighing softly. "But, I am sorry for yelling at you. You didn't deserve it," he'd say, looking at her once again.

A sigh drifted from her lips when he denied that he'd been right about her not being an angel. She turned her head back to him and watched the expressions play across his face, and for a moment she found that her heart broke for him. Part of her wished that he was the person that she'd fallen in love with. Not because Alpin wasn't a good man, but because Esras..well he was Esras. She shook her head, though. The love she felt was for Alpin, and there was nothing that she could do about it. It was pointless to regret that she didn't love Esras. Well. She did, but not the way that she loved Alpin. Esras was a good person and, if it weren't for the circumstances, she figured he could probably have been a great friend. She shook her head again when he said she had nothing to apologize for. "I didn't realize it would be, either," she admitted a bit sheepishly. When he apologized again she reached out and squeezed his hand gently with the one that she'd just taken the bandage off of. "It's okay. I'm not mad at you for it," she whispered. "I probably would have reacted the same way in your shoes," she admitted.

When she reached out to squeeze his hand a pained smile would seize his lips, though he would gently twitch his fingers in return. He wanted to hold her hand, clutch it to his chest and beg her to forget about the Duke, but he couldn't. He wouldn't be able to live with himself if he did that, so he would gentle disentangle his hand from her's, placing it in his lap. Upon hearing her say that she would have reacted the same way he would laugh, "No, you wouldn't have," he would say knowingly. He doubted she could ever bring herself to so selfishly fly off the handle like he had. "It's a nice idea, though," he would laugh; it would definitely have been reassuring if he'd known somebody else had or would have reacted the same way.
He would sigh softly, straightening out his legs and glancing around the Gardens. He thought that he would have been able to woo her, mostly because he was foolish and believed in those old tales where the knight rides off with the lady into happily ever after. Now he found the notion completely ridiculous, and would try to force it from his mind as he glances back at the woman. In order to distract himself he would force a grin onto his lips, "I have to ask. Why the kilt?" he would question her, his head tipping a bit to the side as he looks at her.

When he pulled his hand away from hers she let a sigh drift from her lips, but she didn't and couldn't blame him for the action. She placed her hand back in her own lap and laughed when he insisted that she wouldn't have. "Of course I would have, Esras. Just because I try not to let my anger get the better of me, doesn't mean it doesn't happen. You watched me attack my brother a few days ago, and you heard me yell right back at you," she said with a shake of her head. She let her gaze drift back to the pond for a moment, but then he interrupted with the kilt question and she couldn't help but grin. She plucked at the kilt a bit and smiled at the memory of the first time she'd donned these clothes. "I have a bad habit of bleeding," she said with a laugh. "First I fell into the pond and ripped open the scabbed over split skin from when I attacked Al, and then I managed to open my other hand cleaning up broken glass. The cut was deep enough that I had to have stitches," she admitted with a frown. "The blood ruined my dress, and..these were loaned to me afterwards," she didn't exactly say who had loaned them to her, but she figured it would be insinuated. For whatever reason she felt really weird at the idea of talking about Alpin to him.

------ TIME SKIP LATER THAT DAY BY CORI ADMIN ----
The Servant had been sent right away from Moira's dismount off her horse. The servant stuttered to the knight and duchess, "Duchess Mahon and Lord Kavanagh. Please drop what you are doing and report to the Audience room. Her Royal Highness has summoned you at once." He would say and then leave them right away to go check on the Audience room. -----
She looked at Aeden and told him she'd meet him in the Audience chambers in which had been cleaned. First she went to her rooms and without any help of any servant she put on a new dress. It was ivory and green as per usual; with a northern emblem on it. She put her hair up in a pretty braid that dangled down her back. Sighing with shaking hands standing in front of her mirror. She definitely looked like a wreck from her lack of sleep the past few days and the constant travel. So she put on some make up and looked the best she could. Mind you; no man would ever say she was ugly even at her most tired. With her pampering she moved off towards the Audience Room herself. She moved to the Audience room. Seeing the stain in the carpet the servants had been trying to roll and get rid of. She stared at it for a moment. Moving around it though and then she went and sat on the throne. Instead of her usual chair she sat on the King's throne like she belonged there and awaited them.
