When she said that he was her husband and that she loved children he would grin, leaning in to gently kiss her cheek. He was so happy that he had been able to finally find somebody like her. “I’m glad that my daughter has such a thoughtful mother,” he would murmur softly. Upon hearing her first answer to his question he couldn’t help but laugh, “Of course you are,” he would say with a grin only to quiet when she continued speaking. He would maintain the grin, though, and when she was finished speaking he would lean in to press a light kiss to her nose, “Well then, I’m happy that I got to you before one of those other single fathers could,” he would say, his grin turning goofy as he shifts to hug her just a bit tighter against him. Though, as he hugged her tighter he couldn’t help but think that the same thing might happen to her, and a sudden fear sprang to life in his chest, causing him to hold the embrace for a bit longer than he might usually before lightening his hold. He couldn’t help but fear the idea of her giving birth now, or the idea that she may pass after a child was born like his previous wife had. He would try not to let it register on his face though, not wanting her to know that it was bothering him.

She smiled at his words and pressed a kiss to his cheek. A soft, contended sigh drifted from her lips as she snuggled against his chest. "I'm glad you did, too," she admitted. When he hugged her closer she noticed that the embrace lasted a bit longer than usual and her gaze immediately flicked to his expression. Then she realized what she'd said about some women dying during or shortly after child birth and her heart clenched for him. "Try not to worry so much, love," she said softly, pressing a tender kiss to his forehead. "The women in my family are made of stronger stuff than most," she teased gently, trying to lighten his mood. "Do I really have to remind you again that my mother gave birth to six children? None of her pregnancies or deliveries were complicated," she assured him gently. "Besides, I flat out refuse to leave any of my children motherless, and I'm stubborn enough that it will work," she teased again. She pressed a soft kiss to his lips. "We can't predict the future," she said on a sigh. "And trying to just makes us worry more than we need to. So stop worrying about what might happen," she said as she snuggled closer to him, wrapping her arms around him in another attempt to make him feel better.

When he heard her say not to worry so much he couldn’t help but sigh softly, shaking his head. He’d tried to keep his worry from her, but she seemed rather adept at picking it out. When she teased about the women in her family being made of stronger stuff than most, and then spoke about her mother having six children he would grin, “I can see your point, but it doesn’t make it any less worrisome,” he would say, his lips tugging down in a frown. Though, when she said that she refused to leave any of her children motherless, and that she was stubborn enough that it would work he couldn’t help but laugh softly, “Now that’s actually reassuring,” he would tease her, winking playfully. He would smile gently when she kissed him, reaching up to brush a stray piece of hair out of her face as she continued to speak. “I know that you’re right, but it’s hard not to think about it, or worry over it,” he would say with a shrug. When she snuggled closer and wrapped her arms around him he would hold onto her tightly, shifting to gently press a kiss to her cheek, “I’m sorry for worrying so much today,” he would say softly before gently nuzzling into her neck.

She nodded to his response. It was one of her fears, too, but she wasn't about to let it take over her happiness with life at the moment. However, when he said that her stubbornness was actually reassuring she would flash him a smile. She shook her head at his apology. "It's fine, love," she assured him gently. She ran her fingers through his hair for a moment while he nuzzled into her neck as she tried to think of something to take his mind off of it. There was only one thing she could think of and so she dropped her hand so that she could force his chin up. And then she leaned her head up and pressed a passionate kiss to his lips, letting her eyes drift closed as she kissed him and tried to give him some sort of relief from his worries. She didn't stop kissing him until she reached that point that she was gasping for air by the time the kiss was over. Taking a few moments just to breathe she then opened her eyes and looked up at him with a smile. "There. Does that make you feel any better," she asked with a giggle.

When he felt her hand leave his hair he would frown a bit, only to blink as she lifts his chin up. He would smile lightly at her, only to close his eyes as she kisses him once again. He would reach up to sink his hands in her hair as he kisses her back, the passion in the kiss breathtaking. After a moment he would let one of his hands drift, brushing down her back and over her side as he continues to kiss her back until she finally had to pull away. He couldn’t help but grin at her, despite trying to catch the breath that she had stolen from him. When she asked if it made him feel any better he would laugh, shifting to kiss her lips, “Much,” he would murmur softly, his eyes twinkling with happiness as he reaches up to gently cup her face in his hands before kissing her again, this kiss much gentler than the one before, but filled with just as much passion. He’d all but forgotten their conversation, his mind skipping to the actions at hand instead. He felt like he was going up in flames, burning from the inside out as flames of bliss consumed him.

She couldn't help but smile at him, though the kiss had left her breathless and wanting more than just a kiss. However, when he cupped her cheeks and pressed another kiss to her lips she kissed him back and found herself squirming slightly in his lap. She didn't know what it was about this man, but every time he touched her or kissed her like this she ended up with an aching need that spread through her body like molten lava. It was like every touch or kiss electrified and burned her at the same time, but in a good way. A soft sigh drifted from her when the kiss ended, and she smiled at him for a moment, a spark of mischief dancing in her eyes for an instant before she gently brushed his hand to the side so that she could trail kisses along his jaw to just below his ear. She very gently grazed her teeth over his earlobe, pressed a kiss to it, and then kissed down his neck to his collar bone where she repeated the gentle nibble and then lifted her head so that she could gauge his expression. She tried not to grin at him, but it wasn't an easy thing to not do.

After the kiss ended he would grin at her, though he felt what could only be described as impending doom when he saw the mischief in her eyes. He knew what was going to come next; she was going to torture him in some way or another. When she brushed kisses over his jaw and just below his ear he would close his eyes, letting his hands move to rest on her hips as he lets his head fall back against the couch, which was actually only an inch or two behind his head. He would groan lowly as he felt her teeth against his ear before her lips moved down his neck and to his collarbone, where she nibbled once again. “Oh, God, woman. You’re going to kill me,” he would rumble, though his grip on her hips tightened a bit. He couldn’t believe how innocent he had thought she was, and how wrong he had turned out to be. It was rather unbelievable, if you thought about it; she’d never even so much as kissed a man before he’d met her, and now here she was driving him crazy with her attentions. Absolutely unbelievable.

She was innocent, not deaf. She'd picked up on several things that the women of the court had talked about, and everything that she had done to him were things that she'd learned from listening to their conversations. Actually, he was lucky that she was still shy when it came to this sort of thing, because she'd heard about a lot of other things that would probably drive him a lot more crazy than this if the stories were true. She gave him an innocent look when he said that she was going to kill him. "I would never do such a thing," she said teasingly. "Besides. We're married now," she joked. "And I might be innocent, but I have heard about things living at court, you know. And from what I've heard there's a lot more...interesting things that I could do," she said and jokingly wagged her eyebrows at him. She had no idea how he would react to something like that, but she hoped it wasn't a bad reaction. She bit her lip nervously as she realized that what she'd said could make possibly upset him. "Sorry," she muttered as a blush covered her cheeks and she buried her face in his shoulder.

When she said that she’d never do such a thing he’d laugh, “Not on purpose. One of these days you’re going to give me a heart attack,” he would say with a shake of his head. When she spoke about having heard things from court he would lift his brows, his cheeks suddenly turning pink as he blushed. He could only imagine the things that she had heard at court, and if he was thinking along the same lines, she was right and he’d probably die before she could even try half of them. When she mumbled and apology and hid her face in his shoulder he would laugh, his head flinging back as he practically roared with laughter, his whole body shaking with the force of it. Of course she would be embarrassed, or worried, about something that she had said. And he went right back to thinking that she was innocent. After he managed to sober enough to speak he would shake his head, “Oh my,” he would say, a broad grin spread over his face, “Don’t apologize. But you also shouldn’t make threats like that and not expect to have to hold true to them,” he would say, and this time it was his turn to waggle his eyebrows at her.

She'd pouted when he said she was going to give him a heart attack. "Don't say that," she said, worry creasing her brow. However when he'd tossed his head back and roared with laughter she'd lifted her head from his shoulder and made a face at him. Of course he would think that her embarrassment was funny. She shook her head and gently punched him on the shoulder the way that she used to do with her brothers when they made fun of her. Of course she was a lot nicer to him than she ever would have been to her brothers. "Don't laugh at me," she pouted. But she couldn't help the giggle that bubbled up in her chest when he wagged his own eyebrows at her after what he said. She flashed him a grin as mischief danced in her eyes yet again. "Well, dear husband. There's a couch right behind your head, or if you prefer the comfort of the bed that's not too far away, either," she teased. She leaned in and pressed a kiss to his lips and snuggled against him again, though she was more than willing if it was something that he actually wanted. And to show him that she brushed her finger tips along his back and down his side to his hip where she rested her bandaged hand before leaning her head up to press a soft kiss to his neck.

Upon hearing her tell him not to say that he would frown just a bit, realizing that it must be something that worried her. He didn’t get a chance to ask about it, though he would make a mental note to talk to her about it later. When she hit him while he was laughing he would playfully grab her hand, and when he stopped he would give her an evil glance before playfully nipping at her hand, as if he was retaliating against her playful violence. When she said that there was a couch behind him, or they could go to their bed he would blink, glancing at her to see if she really meant it. He had mostly been joking, and though she had been too until she kissed his neck and trailed her fingers down to his hips. He would close his eyes tightly, and it was his turn to squirm beneath her grasp until he would finally open his eyes and grasp her tightly to his body, picking her up with him as he stood, “Bed it is,” he would grin, leaning in to kiss her lips before moving that way. It seemed almost as if this would become a habit; him carrying her off like a barbarian to do…you know.

Time skip.
Renny gave a soft groan and rolled over so that she was snuggled up against Alpin's side, nuzzling her head against his chest sleepily. A yawn parted her lips and she found that she had no interest in moving from her position in the bed. She felt both extremely content and extremely tired now. "I love you," she mumbled softly against his chest. She pulled the blanket up a bit closer around herself as she snuggled against him. For whatever reason she felt like he was too irresistibly cuddly after they did what they had just done. His chest was an extremely comfortable place to lay her head, and the heat from his body made her just want to go to sleep. Of course she felt the need to get out of bed and clean up a little bit before she would let herself actually enjoy cuddling too much. With a sigh she rolled over and climbed out of bed to clean up and pull on a night shirt. Once she was satisfied that she was nice and clean and cozy she crawled back into the bed to lay down next to him again. She had no interest in getting out of bed for anything more than that. Well. Food might be a good idea at some point since they'd skipped it earlier, but actually mustering the energy to go that far was something she wasn't sure she would be capable of at the moment.

Alpin would wrap his arm around her when she snuggled up against his side, reaching up to gently brush his fingers through her hair as she laid her head on his chest. A smile would dance over his face as he heard her speak, “I love you more,” he would murmur softly, closing his eyes as he leans his head back against the pillow. Now this was heaven. He would do anything with a smile on his face just to be able to lay here and cuddle with his wife, but of course she had other ideas as she let out a sigh and rolled out of bed. He would open his eyes and lift his head, chuckling softly as he watches her move to wash up before pulling on a nightshirt, “You know, you really don’t have to wear that,” he would tease with a grin, wrapping his arms around her and tugging her close when she came back to bed.
He would shift to gently press a kiss to her forehead before leaning his head back against the pillow, a soft sigh falling from his lips. “I could really get used to this,” he would murmur, smiling as he gently squeezed her in his arms. He knew that he couldn’t stay there forever, but it was really tempting. He was actually beginning to wonder what ill effects it would have if he didn’t go to estate in the morning, though he quickly shut down the idea; he knew that he had to go regardless of the fact that he didn’t want to go.

She giggled when he said that she didn't have to wear the night shirt. "You just like seeing me naked," she teased him gently and pressed a kiss to his chest. She yawned and snuggled closer to him, happy to have him here still, even if he was going to leave in the morning. She knew she would miss him while he was gone, but now that he had chosen to stay at least until the morning she felt a little bit more prepared to deal with him leaving. "If you wake up to leave before I get up will you wake me up so I can say goodbye," she asked softly. She didn't like the idea that he might leave without saying goodbye just because she was still asleep when he got up to go. It was bad enough that he was going to be gone. But the idea that something might happen to him when he left was floating around in her head and it made her feel the need to be able to say goodbye to him. Part of her wanted to ask if she could just go with him, but she also wanted to be able to be here in case Moira returned the next day.

When she said that he just liked seeing her naked he would grin, “Is there something wrong with that?” he would ask, playfully tugging at her nightshirt, “You’re so beautiful that you don’t need to be covered up all the time,” he’d joke, only to let his hand rest on her hip. Truthfully, he would rather have her dressed in case somebody came to the door needing something, or in case the servants wanted to come in to gather and wash clothes or what have you. When she requested that he wake her up before he left in the morning he would smile softly and nod, “Of course, love. I won’t leave without saying goodbye,” he would assure her, shifting to gently kiss the top of her head. He’d honestly planned on waking up and leaving so that he didn’t have to say goodbye, and so that he wasn’t tempted to stay but not he figured that she wouldn’t like it very much if he did that. He would reach up to gently brush his fingers over her cheek as he looks down at her, frowning just slightly, “What’s on your mind?” he would ask, his brows lifting slightly as he waits for an answer. He knew that she didn’t want him to leave, but it also seemed as if she might be worried about something else.
