He would grin when she took the ring from him and placed it on her finger, ecstatic to hear that she liked it. He gently kissed her back when she wrapped her arms around him, holding her gently against him. When she pulled back he would beam at her, reaching up to brush a stray strand of hair out of her face, "There's no need to thank me. We got married so quickly that we didn't have wedding bands, so I figured that I ought to get you one as quickly as possible," he would say with a shrug, acting as if it was nothing. He would, however, lean in to press a gentle but brief kiss to her lips, "I'm glad that you like it." He had been afraid that she wouldn't like it, or she wouldn't be happy to accept gifts and such from him. She seemed like the kind of person who didn't like extravagance, hence why he had tried to have something made that was simple yet elegant, but he'd still been worried about it. Especially because she would know that it was rather expensive. He would let the thought slip from his mind though as he beams at her, "Now all of those handsome Knights will know that you're taken," he'd laugh, joking for the most part.

She smiled at him. "Have I mentioned that I love you," she teased as she leaned against him. "Of course I like it. How could I not? It came from you," she said with a giggle after she kissed him back. She shook her head at his teasing and nudged his shoulder gently with one of her own. "As if I wouldn't tell them anyway," she said, feigning hurt. "Besides. Being married to you is much better than flirting with some knight," she assured him. "I just wish I had a way to get you one," she said with a frown. Considering that she had no money, she couldn't buy one for him. And she didn't even have any family heirlooms. Of course, there was always whatever her brother had given as a dowry, but she wasn't sure if Alpin would be okay with her using that to get him a wedding band. Instead of suggesting it she just leaned against him. and found herself starring at the ring on her finger. It was odd to see there, but it felt good at the same time. Diamonds were rare, so she knew that he must have spent a good deal of money on the ring. Part of her felt bad for it, but at the same time she loved him for the gift.

"No, I don't think you have," he would joke, winking at her. When she feigned being hurt he would laugh, shaking his head, "Oh no, I just meant that they would know without you telling them," he'd grin, gently grabbing her hand and brushing his thumb over the back of it. Upon hearing her say that being married to him was better than flirting with some knight he would beam, shifting to gently kiss her nose, "That's good to hear. I was afraid that you would think marriage is boring," he'd laugh. When she frowned and said that she wished that she had a way to get him one he would laugh softly, "You have a way to get whatever you'd like," he'd assure her. "What's mine is yours, and I don't know if you knew this or not, but I'm a Duke," he would tease, wrinkling his nose playfully at her, "Which means we're actually quite wealthy," he would laugh, shaking his head. "But, I don't really need one. It's not like any ladies will look at an old ugly man and wonder if he's married or not," he would joke, shifting his hands to gently brush over her back as he held her. He was suddenly glad that their argument hadn't lasted long, and that she was happy again.

She laughed at him and shook her head slightly. "Hmm. Good point. Now I won't have to waste anyone's precious time," she said with a grin. "I somehow don't think that being married to you could ever be boring," she teased, wrinkling her nose a bit. "Of course I know you're a Duke, but just because you have money doesn't mean I do, or at least I didn't think it did," she said with a slight frown. With his last statement she arched a brow and shook her head. "I don't know if you realize this or not, but you're far from ugly," she said with a laugh as she planted a kiss on his lips. "And that being the case. I don't play well with others and would probably have to claw someone's eyes out if they looked at you wrong," she teased with a grin. "So. Like it or not, you're going to get a wedding band. I'd rather hang a sign around you neck with my name on it, but since I'm sure you wouldn't agree to that...a wedding band it is," she giggled and snuggled closer to him. She was glad that they had managed to diffuse the argument relatively quickly, too.

When she said what she did about money he would laugh, shaking his head slightly, "Of course it does. I make the money and you spend it, that's how this all works," he would joke, shifting to kiss her cheek. Upon hearing her say that he was far from ugly he would laugh once again, "I'm also far from young, and most people don't find that very attractive," he would say with a shrug. He would hug her tightly to his chest when she mentioned not playing well with others and clawing somebody's eyes out if they looked at him wrong, "You play just fine with me," he'd tease, waggling his eyebrows at her. When she said that he was getting a wedding band whether he liked it or not he would laugh, though when she mentioned that she'd like for him to wear a sign with her name on it an idea would spark in his mind. He'd heard of decorative "scarring" or tattooing, and while he knew that it was painful and a little risky with infection and whatnot, he wouldn't mind doing it. "Actually, in a way, I will agree," he'd say with a grin, wondering what she would think about it.

She stuck her tongue out at him in a teasing manner. "You're not that old," she giggled. She reached up and ran a hand through his hair with a smile. "See? No grey hair yet," she teased gently. She did, however, snuggle closer to him and press a kiss to his lips. "I'm okay with no one looking at you twice, though," she said flashing him a grin. "I like the idea of keeping you all to myself and not having to worry about someone else looking at you that way," she said with a wink. When he wagged his eyebrows at her she giggled and shook her head, nudging his shoulder with hers again. "Stop being a pervert," she teased gently. And then he said he would agree in a way and she arched an eyebrow. "What do you mean you will agree in a way," she asked, tilting her head. She was completely confused by what he had said. She'd heard of the tattooing thing before, but definitely wasn't making the connection between it and what she'd said. Or at least she didn't at first. And then it clicked and she frowned at him. "Are you insane?! Do you know how dangerous that is?!"

Upon hearing her say that he wasn’t that old before running her fingers through his hair and commenting that he didn’t have any grey hair yet he would laugh, “The key word being yet,” he’d say, rolling his eyes. He would gently kiss her back when she snuggled closer to him, grinning when she says that she was okay with not having anybody look at him twice, “Me too,” he would agree, smiling softly when she said that she liked the idea of keeping him all to herself, “Well, you’ll never have to worry about having to share,” he’d say with a grin, reaching up to gently brush his fingers over her cheek. He couldn’t help but laugh when she told him to stop being a pervert, “It’s really hard not to be when you’re around,” he’d tease, winking. He was just about to respond to her question when it suddenly seemed to click in her mind and she started to yell at him, causing him to laugh, “Ahh, yeah. I do,” he would say with a smirk, “But you’re the one who asked,” he’d tease, only to sober. “It’s only dangerous if you get an infection,” he would explain, “And I’ve got the money to get the best of the best to do it,” he would explain. “I mean, I could always just get a brand, that’s a lot less dangerous,” he would laugh, though after a minute he figured it would be pointless to argue with her, “If you really don’t want me to then I won’t.”

She smiled at him. "Good," she said in response to him saying that she would never have to share him. She winked at him when he responded to her pervert comment and pressed a kiss to his neck. "Of course it is," she said flashing him a grin. She shook her head and leaned against him again. "Well. It's just that I worry about something happening to you," she said with a pout. "Not that I wouldn't take care of you if something did," she added. "But I'd rather not risk it," she said with a frown. "That doesn't mean you absolutely can't, though. If it's something that you really think you want to, then I won't tell you no, but I will worry about it," she added. She didn't want him to think that she was trying to be controlling or anything like that. "I don't want you to get mad at me for telling you not to do something that you want to do," she explained a little bit further on that. "I don't like to argue or fight, so if this is something that you're really wanting to do, go ahead. Just make sure you do whatever you can to be safe about it."

When she pressed a kiss to his neck he would close his eyes, laughing softly, “And this is why it’s so hard,” he would joke, before gently squeezing her in his arms and opening his eyes again. He would look at her when she said that if he really wanted to do it that she wouldn’t tell him no, but he couldn’t just feel the reluctance, and he knew immediately that he wasn’t going to do it. He wouldn’t do anything that would make her unhappy, “It’s alright, love. It was mostly a joke, anyways,” he would assure her, shifting to gently kiss the top of her head. When she said that she didn’t want him to get mad at her for her telling him not to do something he would laugh and shake his head, “I could never be mad at you,” he would say, reaching up to brush his fingers over her cheek. It seemed like the action soothed him more than it did her, though. “It wasn’t my intention to argue or fight with you about it, because I can assure you that I don’t like to do either. And I’d like to think I have more control over myself than to sit here and argue with my beautiful wife all night when I could be cuddling her instead,” he would grin, though he could tell that she was really worried about making him upset, “If you don’t want me to do something then just tell me, I won’t get angry with you. I just want to make you happy,” he would admit, “This goes along the lines of you being comfortable enough to tell me what’s on your mind.”

Renny smiled at him and just snuggled closer to him for a moment while she listened to him talk. She laid her head against his shoulder and briefly closed her eyes. Not because she was tired, but because it felt so good to have him back, especially given the events of the day. Funny; considering that they'd just finished arguing themselves not that long ago, but hey. Love has a tendency to forgive almost anything. When he finished speaking she would open her eyes and tilt her head back so that she could look up at him, but she didn't lift her head from his shoulder. "Well, as long as you're sure, then I'd rather you not risk it. If for nothing else than for the sake of my sanity," she said with a giggle. "I worry about you enough without you intentionally putting yourself in potentially dangerous, and/or possibly deadly, situations," she said with a shake of her head. "I'd much rather keep you around than I would have you permanently mark yourself with my name and die because some careless fool got you some infection that no one could cure," she said with a frown. "You mean too much to me for that."

He would grin when she said that she’d rather him not do it, “Well then I won’t,” he would promise, laughing softly when she spoke about her sanity. “Oh well, if it’s just for that then maybe I will. I’m pretty sure that was lost a couple days ago,” he couldn’t help but joke, sobering when she began to talk about her worrying over his safety. “I know, love,” he would murmur softly, though he was rather amused when she pretty much said that she didn’t need him acting like an idiot and purposefully putting himself in danger. He had to admit that she was right, though; the thought of leaving her behind on her own if he died caused his heart to ache. He wouldn’t do something to risk that happening, now that he thought about it. He would shift to gently kiss her lips when she said that he meant way too much to her for that to happen, “And I love you more, so don’t even joke about you doing something crazy. You think you stressed out thinking about me getting an infection and dying…I would have a heart attack!” he would joke, trying to lighten the mood a little bit. She’d been through too much today; he wanted to keep things light and happy for her.

She giggled at his teasing about her sanity and gently pushed against his stomach with her elbow. "Don't be mean," she said with a mock pout. When he kissed her she would smile and kiss him back, only to roll her eyes at his dramatics. Okay, so she giggled too, but hey. "You, sire, are completely wrong there," she said with a grin. "It's not possible for you to love me more." She wrapped her arms around his torso again and hugged him tightly. "I absolutely adore you, and that's why you're still getting a wedding band whether you like it or not. I won't tolerate women flirting with my husband because he doesn't have a wedding band and they think he's available," she teased again. Of course, she knew women well enough to know that a lot of them would flirt with a man with a wedding band, but that was off the point. The real point was that he'd gotten one for her and now she wanted to get one for him. "Okay. So maybe it's more about the fact that I want to get you something in return since you got this ring made for me, but that's not the point," she said with a laugh.

When she told him not to be mean he could only laugh, shaking his head. He hadn’t been mean, he’d been…well, yeah. He’d been mean. When she told him that he was wrong he would laugh, “No, I’m never wrong,” he would assure her, though he couldn’t help but smile softly when she said that she adored him and hugged him tightly. If only she knew that she already had him wrapped around her little finger, and that he worshipped the very ground she walked on. He would smile down at her, gently squeezing her in his arms as he listens to how he was going to get a wedding band whether he liked it or not, because she wasn’t going to deal with women flirting with him, “Well, I suppose that’s the best deterrent,” he would joke, shaking his head slightly, “I feel that you have no faith in me, whatsoever,” he would say, his lips tugging down in mock hurt, though he couldn’t help but smile soon after. “I wouldn’t flirt with another woman, or let another woman flirt with me,” he would assure her, chuckling softly. Though, when she said that her insistence on getting him the ring was more about getting him a gift in return he couldn’t help but laugh, the deep, body shaking laughter that he occasionally gave off, “Oh, love…” he would manage to choke out, shaking his head as he tried hard to sober. He would manage to get it to where he was only grinning like an idiot, “I didn’t give you something because I wanted a gift in return,” he would explain, still clearly amused.

She smiled at him and shook her head. "Oh no, love. I have faith in you," she said, casting him a wink to hint at something entirely different than what he'd been talking about. She couldn't help it when she was around him. Esras might think she was an angel, but she definitely proved to be the complete opposite where Alpin was concerned. And not in a being mean kind of way. (Wink, wink.) She pouted when he laughed at her like that. Of course she loved the sound, it was just so..infectious and she couldn't help but smile at him. "Of course I know that. Though I doubt you'd object to a different kind of gift in return," she said with a giggle and another wink. She couldn't help but tease him on that. And, yes, she just made two sexual innuendos at once. What could she say? He'd been gone all day, or at least for the majority of it. Giggle, giggle. She pressed another quick kiss to his neck and very gently nibbled the flesh there for a brief moment before plastering a look of pure innocence to her face and simply laying her head against his shoulder again.

He would blink when she said that she had faith in him before winking at him, a little shocked but also rather amused. He really couldn’t believe that the sweet girl that he had met had turned into this…not so innocent woman. It was miraculous. And then she went on to say that she doubted he would object to another kind of gift before giggling and winking at him. He would laugh and shake his head, shifting to gently kiss her lips, “You’re right, I really wouldn’t,” he’d grin, only to groan softly as she kisses and then proceeds to nibble at his neck. He would close his eyes for a brief moment, a low chuckle falling from his lips. When he opened his eyes and say the innocent expression on her face he couldn’t help but laugh, “Oh, don’t you look at me like that,” he would say with another shake of his head, “You are not that innocent,” he would say, trying to make his tone sound serious but he was more amused than anything. “You’re such a tease,” he’d joke, “And you’re not nearly as innocent as you try to act like you are,” he would reiterate, honestly rather amazed at how good she had been at hiding her wilder side.
