General Behavior: Andy is very much a 'regal' young woman. Despite her special clothes that aren't dresses she's very much a lady. Once in a while she will don a dress, but nothing near as fancy as most ladies of the court are wont to wear.
She is the "no nonsense" type who hates to beat around the bush, and tends not to sugar coat anything. If she doesn't like you, she'll tell you. Likewise, if she says she likes; or loves, you she means it. Her biggest passions in life are weapons training, crafting bows and archery goods, falconry, riding, and her studies. Talking to her about any of those things tends to lead to long conversations.
She is very protective of her family members, and anyone who makes the mistake of messing with them will incur her wrath. That being said, she can be a bit hot headed. Which means that she sometimes reacts to situations without thinking.

Andraste was born to Adair and Ailionora Rowan. Her father was a constable along side Connall in both wars, and when Connall was appointed king, he gave Adair the title of Viceroy. Though she has an older brother, she was chosen as Adair's heir because of her brother's infirmity. He was born blind. When Adair chose Andy as his heir, he sent her to train as a squire under one of his old friends from his days in the war. Aloysius Braden became a father figure to her as he trained her, and he never held back in her rigorous training just because she was a woman. On the contrary, he probably trained her more and pushed her harder than he would any of his male squires.
When she and Alastrina turned seventeen, her twin was married off to a Marquess. The two did their best to keep in contact in spite of this. She kept an ear out for messages from her sister, and was happy to learn that there was love developing between Alastrina and her husband as time progressed. In the mean time her training continued in a way that made it feel like it would never end. When she wasn't training to become a knight, she was training as her father's heir. And in the little bit of free time that she would manage to procure during all of that she would pursue her other interests. Archery, falconry, riding, and jousting were her favorite things to do in her spare time.
Recently; shortly after her 19th birthday, her parents met with an untimely death. It seemed an illness had struck while she was away, and the two passed away from it. Upon hearing word of their deaths she rushed home to make sure the place didn't fall apart. She quickly fell into place as the head of her estate and the governess of her province. Fortunately it didn't take much, or long, before things were running smoothly once again. And now she's returned to the eastern capital where she hopes to continue training as a squire, even if her training is interrupted every now and again by the need to play the part of her title. What she doesn't know is that her father's friend has set up a meeting in a week's time to present her before King Connall as having finished her squire's training.
