General Behavior: Regan is a very light-spirited individual with a kind heart that is attracted to humor like a moth to a flame; wherever there is laughter she is bound to be there. While she is respectful, she enjoys more than just sitting around sewing and reading all day; she'd rather be walking in the Gardens or listening to/making music. She tries to live life to the fullest, and her parents love her for it; she is the childhood that they and their other children never got. She is also very curious, though she isn't overly adventurous; if there's a sound in the bushes she'd definitely be the one to check it out, but she's never dreamed of leaving her family and going off to explore the kingdoms. She is a bit of a trickster herself, and thus idolizes the trickster God, Angus Mac Og, and because of this devotion she dislikes Christianity- she feels as if it's blasphemy and won't even speak about the newer religion.

{ H I S T O R Y }

Regan was born to Alick and Eaven McElrath, the youngest of their children the last of which was already seven. It wasn't that she had been a surprise, but rather a miracle; her parents had been trying for another child for years, but ended up with miscarriages and stillborns until Regan finally came along. Because she was the baby of the family she was doted upon by not only her parents, but her elder siblings as well. She grew up with more love and laughter than any one person could ask for, and had her family wrapped around her finger though she didn't realize it. None of them wished to see her laden with the responsibilities as they had been and thus did their bests to leave her out of politics and the like; her father won't even think about marrying her off, though he has had many offers from fellow Dukes and he didn't have such qualms about doing the same to his other children.

Which was unfortunate for Regan, because all of her siblings were sent off, one after the other and deprived her of the laughter and noise that came with a large household. Her sisters left to be married, becoming a Duchess and a Countess in their own rights while her brothers went to serve as soldiers during the war. Her eldest brother, Austin, came back with a wife to serve as their father's heir while Blair was gifted with the title and lands of a Baron for his duty to the kingdom, and his prowess in war. Vaughan, the youngest, was knighted and stayed at the Southern court as a guard. Her mother and father tried to keep her occupied while the house was empty, but they had duties to attend to as well. She never felt neglected but she was rather bored, so when she requested to go stay with her sister to help care for her newborn niece her parents were happy to oblige, especially because it would make her happy.
