General Behavior: Al is a little bit spoiled, or at least he was growing up as the first son of the Marquess and Marchioness of Sunil. He's the type that's pretty much used to getting what he wants, and he doesn't often hear the word 'no'. Of course, he didn't much like the fact that he only got to claim the title of Viscount when his father was alive, but now that he's inherited the title of Marquess, he's much happier. He is, however, an extremely ambitious young man who is willing to do almost anything (almost) to improve his position in life. Some people consider him an asshole, but he doesn't. Of course, most assholes don't believe that they're assholes. The point, however, is that he believes that people exaggerate his asshole behavior. He just wants to make the best possible life for himself, and doesn't take into consideration who he might be hurting in doing that.

{ H I S T O R Y }



Alasdair was born the first of 6 children born to Marquess and Marchioness O'Halloran. Though there are only a couple of years between him and the second born, he was definitely the most spoiled; at least of the boys. Ranait was significantly more spoiled than he was, but she was the only girl after all. Because of his status as the first born boy, he spent most of his life being trained to eventually take over the position as Marquess of Sunil. He, of course, got his own title of Viscount when he was old enough to leave his family's home, but he couldn't deny that viscount was a disappointing title in his opinion. He was pretty much born as an extremely ambitious boy, and since he was old enough he was always doing everything that he could to improve his own standing in life. Unfortunately, he never seemed to be able to do much in that regard since he never got the invitation to go to court.



However, when his father passed he finally gained a higher title; Marquess of Sunil. It's still not the best title in the world, but now that his father is dead and he is the head of the family, he's decided that it's time to make some changes in the family. For starters his sister is far too old to be unmarried. Secondly he's determined to improve his lot in life in pretty much any way he can. His father never made a marriage for him, so it's time for him to take that into his own hands too, and he'll likely start looking for a wife for Blain as well. Of course, what he doesn't realize is that just because he's a Marquess now, doesn't mean he gets to literally take over managing the whole family. He'll eventually get a reality check, but it may be too late by the time it comes around.
