Quinlan O'Hare

Quinlan is quiet in the sense that he's a guard and at one point killed; which made him need to be rather quiet for the job. He also was born in the lower classes and feels the need to be quiet around the nobles and royals and they kind of irritate him with their blunt acquisition-based personalities. Quinlan is known for being a ruthless killer but inside he is a very cuddle-able puppy who enjoys the simple things in life. When he has something to say he can make someone go tongue-tied. He is very scary while angry; as it is always the quiet that snap the worst.
He knows he is far away from even thinking on the topic of justice but he lives to make better the wrongs he's done in his life. He wishes what he went through on nobody and is rather chivalrous.
Quinlan will do anything to keep Abi and Morgan safe even if it means to sacrifice his own life for them and due to this determination he was appointed to the Queens' Guard by Morgan herself. He also won't think twice about keeping a child safe, as he has a big heart for them.

Quinlan is known to keep a few friends outside of the two Queens. He is rather dedicated to his Queens. If there was a scale, Abi would be at the top though, Morgan still holding a very close second. He feels more protective over Abi as he knows very well that Morgan can hold herself. He also is known to be good friends with the kids of the court and the village. Quinlan loves to spend time with the orphans when he has a day off.

Aside from that he has a good couple of friends that span Ireland. But he is rather too himself, and many are intimidated by his past.

Quinlan was born to two peasant peoples, who died in a fire with practically no name he had been the only to survive. Quinlan was raised in an orphanage, when he was 9 he was given to an old Black Smith's family to begin an apprenticeship. From then till the age of 12 he had been doing only Black Smithing, but on the side Biorr trained the boy to be stealthy, strong and he taught Quinlan to fight. At the age of 15 he was given the recognition of the King of Aibirith after a day of visiting the Markets of the Capital.
A messenger went to the O'Hare house and had gotten word that Quinlan was to become a Squire under the King. When Quinlan declined, Biorr and Elea were pressed to make the boy agree to their terms. But he had already grown much taller then his foster parents and they both wished not to cross the child for he had done them a good share of help. The two were the oldest in the capital; or so that was the joke so while they still lived Quinlan wished to continue being there for them and Smithing for money as Biorr turned too old and nimble to keep a fire lit and going.
But the decline didn't last long. The Aibirith King was surely a bastard; as he sent Soldiers to the O'Hare home while Quinlan was coming home at night from selling on market and torched the home while Biorr and Elea were sleeping. Quinlan had not a clue and thought the fire an accident as both had been known to forget even the simplest things. After his mourning, Quinlan had to accept the offer made by the King. As the Orphanage would not accept a 15 year old back in as he was old enough to take care of himself.

Quinlan though began to work diligently for the King; and loyally. So loyal he felt the King had adopted him as his own. When the King had gotten married, Quinlan worked to keep them both safe but he only really listened to the King. When Quinlan aged 17 the King summoned Quin to his room. There Quinlan would gain his first job to kill someone. And he would just do that; kill and kill for the King. The on time when he disagreed he was put into shackles for 3 weeks and beaten multiply. He even gained his largest scar by the King deciding to have a go at hurting Quinlan. As he continued more so loyal; he had come home from a job only to hear the Maid of Honour Abi being tortured. Upon hearing that she and the Queen had an affectionate relationship Quinlan didn't react but went on his way until Queen Morgan requested the man to help her get rid of the King.

He swore to not kill unjustifiably again; and Morgan agreed to never make him out to be an assassin over the Squiring he was supposedly there for. He poisoned the King as Quinlan was the last the King could ever suspect to do so. He watched the King pass on and then reported it to the Queen. From then on, Morgan appointed him the Captain of the Queen's Guard and gave him his freedom back.

Quinlan's not to sure if he'd be looking anytime soon. She'd have to stumble upon him.
