Captain of the Guard
The Duke and Duchess of Akadia, Dalaigh and Orlagh MacRaith were an arranged marriage in the Kingdom of Aibirith. The Duke had not been quite ready to settle down when he had to marry his wife, and shortly afterwards she became pregnant with their eldest child, Eirnin. Dalaigh, being a young and virile man, often times frequented a particular establishment that offered the company of young women for the night while his wife was far into her pregnancy. However, someone eventually reprimanded the young Duke and he eventually quit visiting, but not before he had spent quite a few months with one of the ladies in the residence by the name of Aednat MacGowan.
Aednat was young, and she fancied herself in love with the Duke of Akadia, and later found out that she was pregnant with his child after he stopped visiting. Rather distraught, the young woman did what she thought was best and gave her bastard child up for adoption after giving birth in relative secrecy. She only told one person of her daughter's father, and she never mentioned the child to her father.
Anna was raised by Cearnaigh and Daimhin O'Finn in the Kingdom of Idritis. Daimhin was unable to have children, and so they decided to adopt Anna. Her adoptive parents were loving and warm people, and they were honest about everything, with one exception. Cearnaigh knew of Anna's parentage, but he never told anyone as he was sworn to secrecy and he did not wish for it to pain his daughter, he never even told his wife. When Anna had first been adopted, other children had learned of it and told her that she had not been wanted, that she was unloved, and they made fun of her. Anna took that time to run away from the home of her loving adopted parents and that is when she first learned the art of stealing. However, she was eventually caught and returned home to her adopted family whereupon they straightened everything out and explained that they had wanted a child more than anything and that she was loved. When Anna was 7 years old, Daimhin became very ill and eventually passed away. Cearnaigh was a Knight, and a single father, so he decided to make Anna his Page as she was just the age for it. It was at that time that Anna swore off stealing altogether, as she was now training to become a Knight, though she still practiced the skills of stealth. It was at this time that she made friends with another page, Enda McNamara, who later on became the Commander of the West. Anna continued to make her father proud with all of her accomplishments, as by the time she was 20 she had been Knighted.
Anna fought alongside her father in the war, and her body carries the scars of the brutality. The King often times requested Anna to do his dirty work the higher up in rank she became, as though he expected the woman to quit, but she never did.
One particular morning, Anna came home to find her father dead, and her heart was broken. She suspects that the King has something to do with it, but she has no proof.
Personality: Anna was raised by a simple Knight and his Lady, and as such, does not have time for frivolous things. She just doesn't see the point in excess. Anna is tough, no nonsense, and leads fairly, and she doesn't take any crap either. She has a soft spot in her heart for the underdog in a fight, and much prefers the company of animals to most people. If given the choice, she'd rather spend time with orphans and knights than nobility. She believes in hard work paying off after time, as that is what she was taught. Anna is fiercely loyal to those she becomes close to, and will fight to the death to protect those she holds dear. Anna doesn't hold stock in royal titles, though she hopes that her (adoptive) father is proud that she made the rank of Captain.

Freestyle
Anna's two best friends are Enda and Aodh. She respects women with a warrior soul and finds them kindred spirits. She treats the men under her command as extended family, but none too closely. Anna is a fairly cheerful sort and is just as quick to make a friend as an enemy.
Friends
Anna holds a particular hate for men that treat women poorly, and as such, she does not hold back in her treatment of them. Most men either hate her or adore her; not much in between. Those that she leads come to realize that she is a just and fair leader and they end up respecting her. She has kicked men out of her Guard and made others to look as fools; but only to those who truly are. These men definitely hold a grudge against her.
ENEMIES
Nothing is truly known about the Captain of the Guard's love life. Though it was once rumored that the King tried to marry her off.
