History: Ciar was born the youngest of Niall and Isleen MacAteer, and their only daughter. When she was but a baby, no more than a year old, her parents passed away. She wasn't old enough to know what the cause of their ailment was, but she does know that it hit her eldest brother, Brendan very hard. Because of her parents deaths she and her brother, Lorcan, became wards of the O'Braddagh's, while her brother, Brendan, left to become a squire of some indistinguishable knight, leaving his titles to Lorcan. Ciar and Lorcan became fast friends with the O'Braddagh's son Connall, some people even swearing that Lorcan was Connall's shadow, and as soon as Ciar was old enough to walk, she would follow the two of them everywhere. When Connall left his parent's lands for war, so did Lorcan, and this left Ciar truly alone for the first time in her life. She dreamed of being able to follow them, to help protect the only family she had left, but she was just a girl, and a Lady at that.
When the war was over Lorcan returned to their family's lands, claiming the title of Earl as was passed to him by his brother, and that is when Ciar moved there as well. Their home was unfamiliar to her, as she had grown up away from it for years. She could see that the war had changed her brother, and for awhile he seemed distant, and became known for his "warring and whoring", though eventually he was strongly encouraged to marry and settle down. Lorcan married a pretty young lady named Seara and he became enchanted with his wife and seemed like his old self again. Ciar was rather excited, as she had never had a sister before and truly enjoyed Seara's company. Ciar was very fond of Seara, and even tried to be more lady-like and on her best behavior for her new sister. Unfortunately Seara became very sickly during the pregnancy, her body turning frail and weak so much so that she died in childbirth. The babe died with her, and their entire family went through a depression for several months. To deal with her own grief, she secretly took up sword fighting lessons, though without a sword.
Chaos descended upon the kingdom, which brought Lorcan out of his depression as he rode off to fight alongside Connall once again. Once again, Ciar was left alone, this time on their family lands with other adults to keep watch over her while her brother was away at war. Ciar continued her lessons, which included music, dancing, and her secret sword fighting lessons. Then she found out that Connall was to be King and her brother the Captain of the Guard. Word was sent that she was to join them at court and joy again bloomed within her heart, for she was going to be with her two favorite people in all the realm.

Freestyle
Ciar finds difficulty in making friends with other women since they usually just want to get to know her brothers; at least, whenever they have been single. Another reason is that Ciar has always had more fun NOT being a proper lady; she would much rather practice with her sword or bow and be out riding than stuck home in a dress and sewing. Though if people look past that then she is a loyal and protective friend.
Friends
Ciar does not personally have any true enemies. Though some women might be jealous of her position with her brothers or might simply look down their nose at her since she doesn't follow the typical lady behavior.
ENEMIES
Ciar's brothers have always watched her like a hawk. However, she briefly met a warrior that stole her heart with a kiss: Liam Sloane.
