General Behavior: Everyone around him; with the exception of a select few, sees him as a spoiled prince. This includes his family. His sister hates him because she is older than him, and because she refuses to get to know him as a person. Despite what the majority of of people think about him; he is actually a very down to earth person.
Because of how he was raised; and what has happened to him while growing up, he strongly dislikes both large crowds and being alone. Reading, writing, and drawing are his means of escape, but they are things that he must do in secret.
He has absolutely no self confidence. Logically he knows that he is good at certain things, but because of the events of his past logic does not always take the lead on that. He does; in spite of this, do his best to portray himself as the prince his father often tells him that he is not.

{ H I S T O R Y }

Tadgh grew up with a family that constantly blew hot and cold. One minute they would act like they liked him, and the next he was being back handed, for no reason other than the fact that he existed. His mother hated him because she hated his father. His father hated him because; despite the strong family resemblance, he believed his wife a cheater. His sister hated him because she was older than him and the spoiled princess that she accuses him of. -- Of course that's all just from his perspective. His family might not actually be so bad, but they definitely weren't good to him...most of the time.

His father had a tendancy to come up with imagined offenses that he would accuse him of and then have him beaten over. It wasn't until Tadgh started filling out and towering over Duncan that he finally stopped having the boy beaten over every little thing. The worst of the irony was that he shit that his father accused him of doing was usually either him covering his older sister's ass, or covering the ass of some servant or another that had shown him some form of kindness. (No. Not that sort of kindness. To this day he remains a virgin.)

His virginity is a result of his belief; or rather the belief that his father has drilled into him since he was a boy, that no woman could ever want him for anything other than his money and power as a prince. To put it simply; he has no interest in women who look at him as nothing more than a sack of money.

The only person who knows him for who he actually is..is the man who has trained him in the art of swordsmanship. Alick Acheson was his father's favorite commander and one of the best swordsman in Scotland. He had retired by the time Tadgh was born, but eagerly took the job as a trainer, thinking that the opportunity to beat up a spoiled prince would be fun. The man had no real love for Duncan Payne, and it showed in the first few years that he trained Tadgh. However, when he finally learned the truth of Tadgh, he regretted the way that he'd been with the boy while training him. Eventually Alick turned into the only friend and closest thing to a decent father that Tadgh had.
