It had taken a lot of arguing on his part for Tadgh to convince Connall to allow him to stay in the Eastern Kingdom. The man had been suspicious of him until he had broken down and shown off his scars; telling the storied behind them. He could still see the way Conn had cringed when he'd told the king the stories. He hated sympathy most of the time, but it had made the man agree that he could stay. For a while he had slept in the guest chambers granted to him. Tonight; however, the nightmares had returned. Having neither the herbs from Scotland nor much alcohol, he'd found himself retreating to the one place he seemed to be able to go to get those things out of his head. He opened the door soundlessly and crept across the room in bare feet. He knew she was easy to wake up, so he didn't get too close before he settled on the floor of her bedchamber. He waited in silence to see if she would wake up. If she did he would apologize for waking her. If she didn't, he would silently stretch out on the floor and attempt to sleep.

Ina was aware about Tadgh's now permanent home in the castle. A part of her had grown so attached to his presence on her floor that she found herself stirring awake often during the night to hear the sound of his breathing. She was partially awake in a lull, hoping for sleep until she heard him walk in. She didn't startle or get up though. The first two times she almost got him in the jugular then she would only flinch to his entrance. When he apologized she would insist the fact she was already awake.
As he laid down her eyes followed him and she waited for him to get comfortable. Ina felt a sense of courage spark in her. The thought was there, the curiousity, and the memory of his kiss on her shoulder when she showed her scar gave off a pleseny warmth. Like his lips had ingrained their imprint on her shoulder. She slid off her bed smoothly and laid down beside him, moving to place her head on his chest, her small body pressed against his side. She didn't have words. An almost understanding came to her as to why he was there. She just hoped he appreciated her presence.

When she had insisted that she was already awake a faint smile had played across his lips briefly. Exhaustion crept up on him and he found his eyes drifting closed almost as soon as he stretched out on her floor. But then he heard movement and for a moment or two his eyes opened and he watched her slid from her bed to the floor next to him. When she placed her head on his chest he lifted his arm to curl it around her, not really giving it much thought as he did so. A calm washed over him then, and he knew that when he slept it would be without nightmares this time. He shifted slightly and leaned down to press a kiss to the top of her head before moving his head back to where it had been and allowing his eyes to close once more. "It's so much quieter here," he muttered. And by that he meant that the noise in his head was pretty much non existent when he was around her. Every other time it seemed like the memories and nightmares were so loud they were going to choke him. He shifted his head slightly and lifted his free arm to tuck it underneath his head and use his hand to support his neck.

She almost felt bad when she noticed his eyes were closed. But she felt that she truly needed to be beside him to sleep. As he wrapped his arm around her she felt truly comfortable being right there. Like this was her place. He was warm, this was Ina's first thought. But it slightly confused her. Warm, warm.. Like he was warm in temperature but he was also warm in comfort; like him being there was warm. This warmth wasn't new to Ina though. When she bumped into him, he was warm. Her stomach knotted when she heard his laughter, his voice approaching her ears was warm. His kiss to her shoulder, sizzled. Her innards were at war; a good war. As he bent down to kiss her on her forehead she blinked and blushed against his chest. Her heart beat quickened for a moment, her forehead was now warm. As he said that it was much more quiet she would giggle against his chest.
"Whatever is loud goes away and you replace it's loudness with warmth." She would respond to him. Implying that she loses herself to thoughts of him. Ina ran her hand down his chest and back up somewhat subconsciously, running her fingers up and down the crevice of his chest down to his stomach, letting them dance on the way back up. But sooner or later she noted what she was doing and let it lay flat again.
