Cinaed settled on his horse more as he moved. "You can call me Cinaed if you want, Lady Ahearn." He'd nod his head. An heir to a grand duchy. That was impressive but he kept his head about him. Upon her response as to why she wished his attention; to be amused more than mere grunts made him give off a chuckle. "Of course." He'd hum a little and then give her a grr in attempt at a grunt. In joke of course. "Well, alright if you insist, I will try to amuse you the best I can, and obviously moreso then your men here." He'd give smile to her again and then nodded to the men around him. It wasn't that he wasn't lined with a good build; it was just that he lacked a good amount of muscle as opposed to him. Though, if he worked at it a bit more he could have gained more musculature. But it wasn't on his agenda at all really. As she moved her horse at his mare's side he would give her glances now and then, especially if she spoke to him. "What brings you to Geole?" He would ask with one of these glances. The sun caught his eye just enough to activate the almost mythical saturation in his blue eyes.

She smiled at his comment about calling him Cinaed. "Well, in that case, you're free to call me Alana," she said in response. Titles weren't exactly her favorite thing in the world, anyway. And she definitely couldn't help the grin that flashed across her face at his comment about her men and attempt at a grunt. It was enough to make her giggle. He might not be overly built, but he was definitely amusing, and quite adorable. Of course, that wasn't something that she would say to the poor man. He probably wouldn't much care to hear that he was adorable. When he asked her what brought her Geole she did her best not to give in to the urge to chew on her lip nervously. How was she supposed to answer that? Would he buy that she was a friend of Andraste? Probably not. The two of them were entirely too different for him to believe they were friends. With a soft, barely audible, sigh, she decided to tell him as close to the truth as possible. "I came to speak to Andraste about politics," she said with a frown. "We were discussing the rumors that Scotland and England may be gathering forces to move on Ireland," she said. The thought that war might come to Ireland made her a bit nervous, and she couldn't help but chew on her lip nervously at that.

"Certainly. Alana." He'd grin at her. He knew if his mother knew he was calling Alana by her first name though. He'd be grounded. For life. Not that he'd admit that at 19 years old he got grounded still. But Eilis invented grounding. She even grounded Cinaed's father from time to time. Her giggle was super adorable and made him smile happily at her. It was a feat the man wished to hear often. Upon hearing what she was in Geole for he frowned heavily. He remembered Cori killing the English Commander. He actually gave way to a wince. "Yes. I gathered those would be their actions. My sister did kill the English Commander. Actually her first words to me after that night were" He cleared his throat and made his Irish accent more pronounced. "Sorry Lad, I think I fucked up." He'd add a bit of hardy femininity to it.
"It's not so much news Alana..." He admitted to the lady in waiting. Riding almost aside her. His eyes casting towards the path. "I am sure though, that Ireland will be ok. We do have Wales who seemed to enjoy our company." The thought of the Welsh King and Queen actually amused him. He was so huge and wild looking but she had been so tiny and well put together. He was also what Cinaed would consider to be Cori's birth father just much younger looking. And not a redhead. Eilis always detailed that the hair came from Red Bear. "If you need advising help I could be the man of the hour." He'd admit. Some part of Cinaed wished to help Alana.

She kept her horse at a steady pace, since most of the way here she'd trotted the mare. She didn't want to overwork her or anything, and made a mental note to see that she was stretched out before being put up once she got back to the southern kingdom. When Cinaed spoke again she nodded to his response and gave a soft sigh. "I think England likes war too much anyway," she admitted with a shrug. "I mean, no offense, but even if your sister hadn't killed the Commander, I feel that some sort of offense or another would have pushed them into war. Having studied the histories of countries other than Ireland; England seems to have one of the bloodiest histories." At his comment about Ireland being okay and Wales enjoying their company she smiled. "Oh my gosh," she said with a giggle. "Did you see the difference in those two? It was absolutely adorable the way that mountain of a man was completely in love with that tiny woman," she said. His comment about advising made her frown. She didn't know anything about him, so it wasn't like she could say anything to him about the Western king, right? Or did that mean it was better to talk to him about the Western king? Especially since Cinaed wasn't from the same kingdom as her. She chewed on her lip nervously and sighed. "Another reason that I was in Geole was to discuss the Western king. I'm sure being a noble you've heard the rumors that he's decided to side with England and Scotland should they march on Ireland."

His face lit up when she expressed a tidbit of her learnings. Sure he was more of a writer and less of a reader but it was definitely a good way to win Cinaed's heart. "Yes. This is very true. I guess I know what kind of heir your parents raised. It thrills me to no end to hear that you do studies. I had a feeling the new age was more about how many lovers and how much money you land in your pocket. Thank you for proving me wrong." He would grin and nod. It was definitely a love Cinaed could respect; the Welsh royals were fun to watch. "Yes apparently he comes from an unknown origin. She had been the heir. While King Airikr was conquering Wales Queen Llewella had been running the kingdom for him. But he had taken a liking to her." Intriguing story.
Hearing about the Western king wishing to side with England and Scotland made Cinaed frown. Thinking about the man's psychological issues made Cinaed shift in his saddle. Scoffing under his breath. "He is an awful King." His head would shake. Cinaed maybe no soldier but he rang true with being an Easterner. His head was stable and he knew a bit about war being the son of a veteran and the brother of the first Lady Knight. "Assaasination would pay benefit to the Southern, Northern and Eastern kingdoms. But would leave Princess Cliona in hot water. Between her father's followers and being not a fan of the man who fathered her. If you wish to call it fathering her." He itched his nose. "Perhaps you mean to place an amount on his head?" He worked it out in his head. "I.. dabble a bit in how people tick.." by dabble he meant analyzes each person he meets and writes about it. Often. Everyday. "That is just a move I could see Lady Andraste make." He tried to act koyly.

She tried to hide the fact that his compliments made her positively beam, but..well. "Reading is nice," she said with a shrug. "It gives me something quiet to do." She disliked drawing attention to herself, and reading did tend to help her avoid doing just that. Of course, that was something that she was supposed to be working on; the whole anti-social thing. But something told her that the dislike for drawing attention to herself wasn't something she would ever be able to change. When he spoke of the Welsh king and queen she smiled. "I've heard the basis of the story. I guess I just didn't realize the details of it until I saw them together," she said. It had been absolutely adorable to watch the mountain of a man and the tiny little woman together. Of course, that was really just her opinion.
To his comments on the western king she nodded thoughtfully. The western king was indeed an awful King, and from what she'd heard, an awful man. A blush settled over her cheeks when he figured out what they planned to do about Risteard. "It was mentioned," she said with a nod. "Lady Andraste suggested a bounty that we all chip in on. Lady Treise of the North was here as well. Evidently she has connections to a man in the western kingdom who used to be a bounty hunter. I'm thinking there's more to that plot than just the fact that he's a cousin to the man that is courting Lady Treise, though," she said with a shrug.
