Ranait O'Halloran
A mixture of excitement and nerves knotted her stomach when everything seemed to happen all at once. And then Moira went and fetched a dress and changed her in the middle of the audience room and all she could do was blush, despite the fact that the men had been ordered to turn their backs. She did, however, positively beam when Moira placed the dress on her. "Thank you," she said and dipped a curtsy to the woman. She laughed. "At this point, I'm not worried about your hemming skills, my lady," she said with a giggle. When the king ushered them all towards the chapel she found herself chewing on her lower lip. She hadn't expected to get married tonight, but part of her was excited and thrilled at the prospect. She fidgeted a bit with the dress as they walked and when the bishop actually nodded in response to Connall's request this late at night she was a combination of thrilled and scared shitless. The biggest thing on her mind right then would be hoping that Alpin wouldn't change once they got married. At the moment he seemed to be very kind and loving, but she'd heard stories about people that changed after marriage. Not to mention the fact that while they weren't married she'd been under the queen's protection. So. Yeah. But, anyway. She followed the others into the chapel and turned her head to beam at Alpin.

When he was told to turn around he would do so willingly, clasping his hands behind his back as he stared at the wall. It sounded as if the Queen was helping Ranait change, into what he had no clue. They hadn’t brought anything extra with them. When it finally sounded as if they were finished he would turn, broad grin taking place on his face as he moves to gently grasp Renny’s hand, “You look stunning,” he would murmur softly, though he figured she would look stunning in anything she wore. When Connall spoke and then walked out he would follow on his heels, eager to marry the woman. Though, if he knew of any of Ranait’s doubts he would have stopped the ceremony right then and there, and would have let her wait and figure things out if she needed to, but he had no idea and would thus continue on happily. When the Bishop agreed he would positively beam, “Thank you,” he would add, though the man seemed to more about pleasing the King than anything, and he was almost positive if it had just been the two of them that he would have turned them away. Regardless, he would follow in after the two men, turning to look at Ranait right as she smiled at him, offering her a grin of his own.

She followed after the group. Smiling as she wasn't the one to lead this time. Which was definitely something she missed. As the Queen she was only to be an adviser and the person a King sought out to seek political help from. Not the one who was to lead everything all the time. Though she enjoyed the idea of a grouped leading where the Queen was not thought ill of. She did smile when she overheard Alpin call her lady in waiting stunning. Moira would agree, Ranait was a very beautiful child and she was proud of her. Possibly more then Ranait's own parents could be. She had time now to think about her kingdom as she walked into the chapel and moved to stand by a pew. She had never been to an informal wedding so she watched Connall to see what she should do. Kind of a childish thing but Moira had always been the one who had gotten married. Her sister's wedding had taken place days shy of Moira's and she didn't get to see Morgan's pan out. She stayed by Connall's side calmly though. Watching the happenings with a curiousity to her. A cant to her head just slightly but enough to see.

NPC POST
Bishop Mac Árdghail ushered the small group into the chapel where he situated himself before the alter and gestured before him for the bride and groom to be to stand there. Once the couple took their places he nodded to the king and visiting queen. "The crowd we are gathered here before is small, but it will do," he began. He recited the typical bible passages and then turned his attention first to Ranait. "Do you, Ranait O'Halloran, take this man as your lawfully wedded husband. To have and to hold, in sickness and in health, to death do you part?" When Ranait gave the affirmative he nodded to her and then turned his attention to Alpin. "And do you, Alpin Mahon, Duke of Carnaghan, take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife? To have and to hold, in sickness and in health, to death do you part?" When he gave the affirmative, the Bishop nodded. "Then I now pronounce you as husband and wife and you may kiss your bride," he said, the last part directed at Alpin. Despite the fact that he'd obviously done this because the king had requested it, it was hard for the man to hide his smile. His favorite part of being a bishop was marrying two people; especially when they were obviously in love.

Ranait O'Halloran
She'd flashed a grin when Alpin had said that she was stunning. "Thank you," she'd said, despite the fact that she was fidgeting with the dress. When they arrived at the chapel and the bishop ushered them in she felt her nerves start to go haywire. It was like she'd swallowed about a thousand butterflies and they were all busy fluttering around in her stomach. However, when the bishop had asked her if she took Alpin as her husband, one look into the man's eyes and she'd said yes. His face just seemed to radiate with happiness and he'd both said and acted like he was in love with her; so she just couldn't let the man down. After the bishop announced them as husband and wife and told Alpin he could kiss her she turned to him with a look of wonder on her face. This whole thing seemed so surreal, and yet it had just happened. She was thrilled and yet still nervous at the same time. Though now the nerves were mostly because she had some inkling of what was going to happen now that they were married. Part of her couldn't wait for it, but part of her was terrified of it at the same time. She waited for him to kiss her and bit her bottom lip in a move that was a combination of sheepishness and nerves.

Alpin didn't take his eyes off of Ranait the entire time, a loving smile teasing up the corners of his lips as he gently grasped her hands. He was kicking himself for not having thought ahead and purchased wedding bands, but there was nothing he could do about it now so he would let the thought drift out of his head. When Ranait murmured her affirmative he would absolutely grin, tempted to draw her into his arms though he decided against it, knowing that it wouldn't be appropriate just yet. When it came time for him to answer the bishop he would grin, "Yes, I do. Forever and always," he would rumble, barely able to wait until the man said that he could kiss his bride before he was pulling the woman into his arms, gently kissing her lips. When the kiss was over he would shift so that his lips were beside her ear, "I love you, Mrs. Mahon," he would whisper softly as he clutched her tightly to his chest. Part of him wanted to be shocked that this had all happened, but another, stronger part was just overjoyed that it had.

Connall O'Braddagh
He beamed at the ceremony, and though it was a short one, it was till adorable. Especially because one could plainly see the expressions of love written across the couples' faces. He walked over to the Bishop, who was busy writing out the marriage certificate and when the man nodded to him and turned the piece of parchment to face him and handed him the quill he signed it as a witness, taking the ring that he always wore now and dipping it in the wax to place his royal seal next to his signature. He turned in time to see Alpin kiss Ranait and grinned once again. The two of them made an absolutely adorable couple. He cleared his throat then. "Well. If the two of you would like to stay here for the evening I can show you and the queen to chambers. If you'd rather make the ride back home, then I wish you god-speed and a safe ride," he said with a grin. He had no idea which they would choose. However, he knew that if he'd just married a woman that he was in love with he'd probably want to 'consummate' the marriage as quickly as possible, so he offered to let them stay.

Moira watched quietly, the clergy did get on her nerves but the religion was interesting. Her hands laying against her stomach quietly she watched them give their 'I do' statements and she smiled happily. When Alpin kissed Ranait she clapped for them and grinned widely. "Congrats!" She'd cheer to them and chuckle. Watching Connall sign the witness she moved to his side and leaned over to sign her name and then took the wax and pulled a necklace out from her cleavage and pressed her own seal against it on the parchment. They were useful tools to have; especially when you did all of the paper work. Standing up and nodded, smiling at the King beside her. "I will be staying the night." She looked to Ranait and smiled warmly. She placed her hands behind her back and she breathed out possibly thinking about how she would have to talk to the King the day after. She had to report to him whenever she left. A part of her still jealous about the love that her lady in waiting and now Duchess could feel for the Duke. It was a feeling she hadn't ever really had for her own husband.

Ranait Mahon
She positively beamed when he kissed her and she returned the kiss. "I love you, too, husband," she said with a giggle. She leaned against him and when Connall and Moira signed as witnesses she couldn't help but beam at them. The Bishop brought the marriage contract to them and handed it to Alpin before he excused himself for the night, asking Connall to close the chapel when they were all ready to leave. She stood on her tip-toes and pressed another kiss to the duke's lips before she turned her attention to Connall when he asked if they would like to stay for the night. "I think we'll stay. I'm not sure I'm ready to make the ride all the way back right now," she said a bit sheepishly. Actually she had something entirely different in mind, but that wasn't something that she was about to admit freely in front of anyone; except maybe the man that was now her husband. She nodded to Moira's comment about staying and her congratulations. "Thank you, and it looks like we will be, too," she said with a giggle. Then she turned her attention back to her new husband. "As long as that's okay with you, anyway," she said softly.

He was too focused on Ranait to even think about the marriage contract; his arms wrapped tightly around her and his eyes never leaving her face. When she said that she loved him too and called him husband he would grin, feeling love and adoration well up in his chest. When the Bishop brought the contract and handed it to him he would clutch it lightly with one hand, the other curled around her back. When she stood up on the tip of her toes to kiss him he'd smile, gently kissing her back. He wouldn't have paid any attention to the King if it wasn't for Renny answering him. When he said that they'd stay he would nod, "Thank you for the hospitality. And for bearing witness," he would grin.
When Moira spoke and Renny answered he would glance towards the woman, trying to figure out what she'd said before finally smiling, "Thank you," he would say, absolutely beaming when he heard his wife's giggle. Upon hearing her address him he'd smile, shifting to gently kiss her lips, "Whatever you like, love. As long as I'm with you I'll be the happiest man alive," he'd say, hugging her tightly.

Smiled when both of them would say they'd be staying too. She wondered if she would be able to join them on their way to the Northern Kingdom. Though a part of her wanted to go see Morgan after years of not seeing her. A part of Moira missed her twin. Actually she always missed Morgan. She knew the hall in the kingdom wouldn't be the quietest she figured. But she didn't also want to think about Ranait in that situation as she felt Renny had been like her younger sister. "You're welcome" She'd say to both of them. Chuckling again and then looking to Connall. "I feel like it is rather late. Could you lead the way to our rooms, Please King Connall?" Moira shifted her hips as she turned to face and talk to him. When he'd agree with her; because she knew he would. Many men enjoyed their beauty sleep, she would follow him closely to allow the newlyweds to walk in a silence of their own. Her hands at her sides as she walked. A smile was painted on her face as they ventured down into the halls, her eyes taking in the night sights of the castle. It was nice to see a castle so well brought together and not the separated mess that was her castle.
