General Behavior: Bri is very much so the typical Irish woman. She has a thick accent that only gets thicker when she's pissed off or drinking. She is a very no nonsense type of person and tends to be painfully blunt when it comes to giving her opinion on people and matters of business. She treats Nic like he is her brother; feeling that some bonds are stronger than those forged by blood. Like those forged by mutual loss. While she realizes that Nic will likely remarry some day, she tends to be very hesitant to approve of any woman for him. And will let it be known to him when she does not think a woman is the right match for him. She believes that he needs someone who isn't after him for his money or title, and a strong woman who can stand by his side as a good duchess. Someone who would provide him with strong heirs that aren't afraid of hard work and who; should something ever happen to him, would be able to take care of Avlora. She likes to think that Nic values her opinion, and is one of the few men she's met that actually listens to her instead of just hearing her.

{ H I S T O R Y }

Brianna was born the younger daughter of Cahan and Aedammair McNarra, a poor farmer couple. She learned hard work from the start, and always swears that it makes her the person that she is today. Her mother also trained her in the medicinal ways that country folk had to learn for themselves because they couldn't afford an actual physician, or the physician was too far away. To her, life was good. It might be hard sometimes, but that was just part of life, or that was how she saw it. So when she was about 25 and a young knight rode into her older sister's life, sweeping her off her feet and getting permission to marry her, Brianna was absolutely thrilled for her older sister. Even more so when she found out soon after that she had become pregnant. Bri had wanted to be an aunt for much of their adult lives.

When Asthore became pregnant she begged her parents and Nioclas to let her live with them as a nursemaid. Eventually she got approval from both parties and immediately left for the little farm that Nic had managed to procure for him and his wife. Asty's pregnancy seemed to be relatively normal and for the majority of it, she didn't have any real complications. It wasn't until labor hit that everything went wrong at once. She lost too much lood at once, and Bri knew there was nothing they would be able to do to save her, though it pained her to lose her sister. She worked with her brother-in-law to attempt to save the baby, but both mother and child died shortly after Bran was delivered.

Despite the loss of her sister, Brianna has continued to live with her brother-in-law. They leaned on one another for support through the trials that grief brought them. Often times they would stay up well into the night drinking and talking about Asty, and what life would have been like if she and the baby had survived. When he finally told Bri about Avlora she'd been shocked, but had pressed him into reclaiming his birth right. She knew that he needed to start over, and what better way to do that than to move his people to the duchy?

Now she has become a lady of Avlora and is typically seen as the main medicine woman of the place. This brings her great joy, as medicine is one of her biggest passions in life.
