General Behavior:
There was once a time when Kinny was an out-going, bubbly little girl. However, with the developments in her life, she's turned into a reserved, and mostly serious, young woman. When things like that happen, you tend to have to grow up pretty quickly, and that she definitely had to do. She has a passionate dislike for the late southern king and his assassin. And gaining her revenge has become an obsession of sorts over the years. It is what has gotten her through all of her training. There is a small part of her that holds on to a little bit of her childhood and the little girl that she used to be before she was forced to grow up. That part of her still enjoys fairy tales and wondering what life would be like if such tales were real. It might seem pointless to dwell on such things, but she has to keep some sort of hope, right?

Ciannait was born to a Viscount of the Southern Irish Kingdom and the previously virgin daughter of a Marquess of the Western Kingdom, despite the fact that her mother was betrothed and her father had already been married. Her father had to acknowledge that she was his child due to her mother’s title, but he otherwise wanted nothing to do with her and left her at Valmead with her mother and grandfather. Luckily, the Marquess of Valmead fell in love with the babe, and even named her after himself; after all she was his first grandchild and her parents’ infidelity wasn’t her fault. When her mother left to wed the Marquess of Orlea, as despite her mistake he still wanted to take her as a bride, Ciannait was left with her grandfather because although Bram O’Keefe could accept her mother, he wasn’t as accepting of her mother’s bastard child.
When Ciannait was twelve her grandfather hosted a masquerade in her honor; she had grown to be his pride and joy, and would have done anything for the girl. At this point in her life she had been infatuated with dancing, and had told her grandfather that the only thing that she wanted to do for her birthday was to dance. So, a masquerade was born, and the man invited the fellow nobles that he had fought alongside in the wars to the dance, including a few from the Southern Kingdom. What the man hadn’t considered was that some of these men wouldn’t be the same as they’d been when he had known them, and one of the Southern war veterans targeted his granddaughter. The girl was raped, and when her grandfather found out he took the man into custody and issued his own sentence. He beheaded the man and sent his head back to the Southern King, as the man had been rather close to the Southern King.
The Southern King grew angry and sent his men to bring back both the Marquess and his granddaughter, but when they arrived at Valmead they could only find Cianan. He knew what his actions would bring about, and had sent the girl to live with her mother, telling Bram that he would arrange for his holdings to go to somebody else when he died if he didn’t take in the girl. Well, the King’s men killed Cianan and brought him back to the palace, though the King had never been happy with just the old man’s death. Years later, when he learned of where the bastard child was he no longer wanted her death, but he wanted her to pay for having one of his better friends killed. So, he sent his new and much more competent assassin to go out and kill the rest of the girl’s family. The King’s man killed her mother, step-father, and younger half-brother as she hid in the house and she vowed that she would never forget the man’s face, as one day he was going to be brought to justice.
It has been two years since her family’s death, and she has spent every day preparing for the day when she would come face to face with the King’s assassin.
