General Behavior: Treise, by nature, is an extrovert. Being born as a child of the grand duke and grand duchess tends to have that affect on a child. As a product of her raising she's more of a tomboy than an overly girly woman, and isn't afraid to get dirty.
When her parents died while she was still young, she learned the value of hard work, and therefore hates it when people skimp on their jobs. Don't tell her there's anything that she can't do. She taught herself to be the grand duchess for crying out loud. If she can manage that on her own, imagine what else she can accomplish.
Her impatience with whining tends to get her in trouble from time to time, though. She'll be the first person to yell at someone for whining. For that matter, she has an excellent knack for telling people that they're complete idiots in a way that makes them question if she's complimenting them or insulting them.

{ H I S T O R Y }

Treise was born as the eldest child of the O’Seighin family, first daughter to the Grand Duke and Duchess of the Northern Kingdom. Nobody knew that she was going to become a Grand Duchess as her parents had still been trying for another child when they both passed of an unfortunate disease. Despite not technically being trained for the position, she still grew up being taught how to be a decent lady and a “good” older sibling; she often had to watch after and care for her younger sister. She was rather stubborn though, and had plenty of male cousins who often visited, so she was a bit of a tomboy as well; she preferred to wear kilts over dresses (and still does), and was just as likely to tumble around in the mud as she was to pick a flower for her mother. This was acceptable only because they thought that she would never inherit their holdings; if their daughter had a touch of wildness nobody would care, especially because marrying her would raise her future husband's status, and he wouldn't mind her behavior because of that.

It turns out they were terribly wrong, because when she was merely fifteen her parents passed and left her with the family estate...and titles. She took the reins and tried to do as best as she could, even hiring tutors and whatnot to help teach her about how to be a good Grand Duchess and the like. She even spent a year at court learning from Queen Moira, and still visits from time to time. Currently she is in good standing with both the Queen and the Clergy after ten years of successfully managing her family's titles and estate, which is rather unfortunate for her because she has been sent to deal with the new Marquess Alasdair O'Halloran. Apparently because she pretty much taught herself how to be a Grand Duchess it makes her the perfect candidate to school unruly nobles...that and because people see her as a bit of a hard ass.
