General Behavior: Airikr is a very prideful man. He sees himself as being rather high on the totem pole, and won’t allow any disrespect towards him or his Queen. He is often seen as very gruff and beast-like, though he actually has quite a bit of charisma and people skills (hence why he was able to raise an army to overthrow the previous Welsh kingdom), if people can get past his terrifying appearance. Which he maintains very well; he wants his first impression on people to be of fear- he feels that if this is accomplished then nobody will mess with him or his newly claimed kingdom. Despite all of this he is quite fond of music, though he doesn’t sing; he can’t stand for there to be silence and will often have somebody quietly playing an instrument or singing.
Airikr lives for wide open space, so much so that he had the castle that he’d taken over “remodeled”; mostly destroyed and rebuilt so that the rooms were wide and cavernous, and so that there were several courtyards and different gardens. He really dislike being in a small room, though he feels comfortable in a crowd of people; he doesn’t like the feeling of walls shutting him off from the outside world. He has a deep love for the night sky, mostly because he feels as if the stars and moon were placed there by Odin himself, and feels that everything of importance should be acted out beneath it; weddings, coronations, etc. He even holds court outside.
He has a deep devotion towards his chosen religion, Odinism, and can’t stand talk of any other religion; in fact it makes him quite angry when another person mentions a different religion, despite the fact that he is constantly paying tribute to his own.

Nobody quite knows where Airikr derived from. He showed up one day as a soldier in the Welsh King’s army, and quickly rose through the ranks. Many believe he was the son of a King far away; her certainly had the demeanor of one- with a pride that was formerly only seen in royalty…but with the abilities to back it up. Nobody is certain, though, because he refuses to talk about it, not even to his beloved Queen. Despite his intimidating demeanor his charisma and tact in battle gained him many followers, so when the King of Wales angered him (many believe that it was because he spoke of adopting Christianity as the country’s religion, and others believe it was because Airikr had requested his daughter’s hand in marriage and was refused), he had plenty of backing to go to war.
He waged war against the King of Wales a few years ago, and met the man in battle. He killed the King, and took the crown right off of his head and placed it on his own and shortly after that he was able to conquer the rest of Wales, and took up residence in the King’s own palace. Once he got to the palace he claimed the King’s daughter as his Queen; she was beautiful and she would have the love of her people, which made her a very good asset. Despite what many may think, he never once disrespected or abused her. He has never, and will never, strike her or use his words against her. He shows her the respect that is due to a Queen, and gives her more attention than could be thought possible for a man as busy as he. Eventually he began to love his little lioness, though he won’t admit such a thing to anybody but her.
