General BEHAVIOR: Blain is very determined to make his own way in the world. Being the second son of a Marquess, there really is not much choice anyway. He values honor, loyalty, determination, and hard work. He has a strong sense of family pride though for many years he had a chip on his shoulder of trying to prove himself because "he was just a second son." After his father's death, that side of him toned down and now he is rather comfortable just being himself. He is a friendly fellow, though rather reserved when it comes to women as he has not spent much time with them as he was primarly focused on his career in the Northern Army. He has no tolerance for fools, assholes, or politics, as he would much rather have a sword in hand, be riding a horse, or hunting. He is content with being a Captain as he has no desire to become a paper pushing Commander.

{ H I S T O R Y }


Blain was born the second of six children born to Marquess and Marchioness O'Halloran. He was born four years after his older brother, Alasdair, and four years prior to his only sister, Ranait. The rest of their siblings are younger, and for quite some time Blain was made to feel as though he was the middle child (even though they have other siblings) because he was stuck between the two that were the most spoiled. For some reason, Al and Renny decided throughout most of their childhood to gang up on Blain. By the time Blain was 16 he had decided that he had had enough of being "just the second son" and he was given permission from his father to join the Army. That was the same year that Renny, 12 years old at the time, was sent off to become a proper lady-in-waiting for the Queen. Blain quickly grew in height after joining the army, though he still has a leaner build than his older brother. The years spent in the army have definitely added tone to his tall and lean form, and he has quickly moved through the ranks to achieve the status of Captain. As such, he has never had any time for women, and can be a bit reserved around them. He heard of his father's death and that his brother is now the current Marquess. One of the first things that his brother did was set up their little sister to be married to a Duke. Blain has not seen his family in quite some time, as he had been so focused on proving himself just as worthy of the O'Halloran name as his previously spoiled siblings. Blain does not hold it against Renny and Al, instead it was something of a chip on his shoulder in regards to their father. In fact, out of their siblings, he was the closest to Al and Renny and rather misses them. Certainly he can hold his own against them now.
