Ina moved to go to her station. She had noticed the tents with each Kingdom was set up and though she left before unveiling her face from her mask and seeing what Tadgh looked like. His sheer height made her target him right off the bat. He was very, very pretty. She gave him a smile when she passed him. She gathered her freckles would give him a hint but also the fact she was announced in as Ina O'Braddagh instead of her actual name. Her title as Princess of Eastern Kingdom made her give way to a giggle. Shaking her head. Oh well. Maybe being his daughter or sister is better than being a man who didn't want her's kid. She wore a normal dress but along her shooting arm she had a long archer's glove on. She moved calmly to her bow and grabbed it. Lining up she was told to shoot and she aimed and fired. Hitting the target where she thought she would. Bringing her bow towards the side she had been told to stand until the scores were tallied and the winner of the section was called. She was only allowed to go through archery. Though she DID want to try Melee she was unabled to by Conn.

Post by Ciar MacAteer on Aug 1, 2014 6:40:29 GMT
Ciar was dressed as a boy, or more appropriately, as a young male Squire. Her hair was hidden beneath a dark bandana, and her womanly curves were completely hidden by her attire. In fact, she pulled off boyish rather well, though she looked like a really pretty boy. The Announcer gave her name as, "Squire Daigh Macdagh." She had chosen Daigh because she had fire burning within her, and Macdagh as a tribute to the two brothers that practically raised her. She had worked really hard to conceal her identity, even harder than when she had prepared herself for the Masq. This was a secret she was planning to keep from her brothers, at least, for now. She moved calmly to her position, taking up her bow like hugging an old friend, and she was careful not to walk with a womanly swish. She was pleased to see Ina able to compete in Archery, though knew that she herself would not be able to compete in Melee later if either Lorcan or Connall had any idea of what she was up to. It couldn't be that hard, right? If Cori could be a knight, than so too could she. She would show her brothers that she could take care of herself. She lined up the sights, pulled back the nocked arrow, and let her breath exhale with it as she had been taught. She put everything she had into it. So far, sneaking into the games had been the easy part. How was she going to really become a Squire?

Tadgh walked out of the Scottish royalty tent and flashed a grin when he spotted "freckles" walk out onto the archery field. Personally, archery was probably the game he was least looking forward to. Not that he was horrible at it, he just wasn't super amazing at it either. something told him that Ireland would probably be taking the prizes in the majority of the games today. They all just seemed really good at their individual "sports" and while he considered himself pretty well rounded in these types of things, he wasn't sure he would consider himself the best in any of them. He waited until he heard them announce his name and then he walked out onto the field. He picked up his bow and pulled an arrow from the quiver on his back, which he notched, and then let fly after lining it up with the target. He did this several times, once for each target that had been presented for the archers to hit, or attempt to. He figured that he fared pretty well in what he'd just done, but something told him that he wasn't about to win this. He stood on the sidelines and waited for the other archers to finish with their targets and the winner to eventually be announced.

Cador was an arrogant son of a bitch, so he didn't harbor any doubts in his abilities with any of these games. Wouldn't it be a giant surprise for him when he lost all three games? Anyway. He climbed out of the England tent and strode out onto the field when his name was called. He felt a bit sluggish this morning; having drank far too much the night before and stayed up a bit too late chasing serving wenches around the foreign palace. Yep; he's a man whore. Actually..man whore is probably a severe understatement. Oh well. He picked up his bow and notched his first arrow, which he let fly, but landed quite a bit shy of where he'd been aiming. A curse flew from his lips, but he continued on to the next target. Each target was like the first, though most of them were a little bit better. He just couldn't seem to hit where he aimed for today. Damn. Now he was going to lose to either the Irish or the Scottish, and that just didn't sit well with him. He hated the idea of losing, especially to foreigners. Actually...He hated losing in general. If someone from England had showed him up, he'd probably have killed the bastard.

Once all the archers had finished shooting at their targets a judge walked out onto the field to announce the winners.
"Third place in the competition goes to Prince Tadgh Payne of Scotland," the man announced, waiting for the cheers to die down before he continued. "Second place goes to Daigh Macdagh of the Eastern Irish Kingdom," he said. "And first place goes to Ina O'Braddagh, Princess of the Eastern Irish Kingdom," the man announced.

She grinned widely when she was called up as the winner. But she would only giggle insanely when he would call her the Princess and he changed her lastname. Well I guess it was official then! She was a part of the family with no complaints. She'd never really had one of those. Her father disowned her before passing and her mother abandoned her to him, her adoptive mother passed on. The long sap story.
So when she got first place she grinned widely and went to high five Ciar-man and Tadgh. When she went to highfive Cador she stopped because he seemed not interested in the least bit. She thought she heard some sort of derogatory word for her that started with a c. Not that she cared she liked to think that he was in pain from losing not just to a woman; but to a PRINCESS. Bitch. Ok back to Ina-esque moments. She left to go get out of her archer's gauntlet and sit up on the royalty thing for the Easterners. She had no other games to attend too. But she looked forward to seeing her dadbrother and let's be honest; the Scottish Prince compete. Also Lorcan. Can't forget him.

Connall strode across the palace grounds, a grin plastered to his lips. It was a combination of an "I just got laid by a beautiful woman" and an "I'm extremely excited to kick some ass in jousting" one. He slipped into the eastern tent, where he knew that his armor and lance would be waiting, and quickly "suited up". He strode out of the tent and mounted his massive stallion just as they called for the first round of jousting to begin. He nudged Ahern forwards with his heels and took the customary bow before he slammed down the visor to his helmet and waited for the go ahead, readying his lance.

Aeden donned his armor and quickly mounted his own horse. He kicked the grey gelding forwards, gave the customary bow, and slammed his own visor downward. He readied his lance and then spurred the gelding forwards when the judge gave the command to move. His lance was held tucked under one arm as the gelding surged forwards, but he quickly found himself dismounted by the much larger eastern king. Damn.

Esras had already been waiting by the time it came for him to mount up, and dipped the customary bow to his opponent. He couldn't help but frown as he mounted up, though, because he'd just witnessed his Uncle losing his own match. Hopefully he faired better than his relative. He would shut the visor on his helmet before readying his lance, eager to see how he would fair against his opponent.

Cador was already ready as well when it came time for him to mount up. He spurred his black mare into action when the judge gave the command, having completely skipped over the bow like the asshole that he was. He found himself knocked off his horse with a groan, and actually suffered a pretty rough injury to his side that he knew would bruise.

Tadgh mounted his bay mare in full armor. Jousting wasn't exactly his forte, but he'd give it as good a shot as anyone. He dipped the customary bow to the large Irish man before slamming his visor down and readying his lance.

Quinlan got up and did the customary bow like everyone else. He was intrigued by the young Prince. Quinlan wasn't very good at jousting either. Melee was more of his thing. But he decided to try it since his Queens would be watching. He went for a go and they both were a little teetered, but in the end Quinlan fell. He actually gave a laugh when he got up. Not minding the loss. It was a lot of fun ending up on his ass for once. Taking off his helmet with a wide smile and shiny blue eyes. He made girls swoon.
