Lorcan had uttered a thank you to Connall when he unlocked and opened the door before disappearing inside and shutting the door with his foot. The room wasn’t dusty or anything, it actually looked rather clean, which was a surprise. He’d figured that the servants wouldn’t clean the unoccupied the rooms. Once inside, though, he wouldn’t pause for long to look around before crossing through the small sitting room and into what he would now consider her bedchambers. He’d quickly lay her out on the bed before stepping back. He hadn’t been fazed at all by encountering the group in the hall, in fact he honestly couldn’t care less. He’d just been glad that Connall had been there to open the door. After he stepped away he would reach up to brush his fingers through his hair, “So, do you need anything? Food, water, anything?” he’d ask with a tip of his head, though the questions made him rather uncomfortable. He wasn’t used to taking care of anybody but his sister, and even then he never had to offer to get her anything; she’d never been this hurt before. As he waited for her to answer he would move to a sort of closet, pulling out extra pillows and such incase she wanted to use them to prop herself up with.

She waved slightly as they all left and she was brought into her room and laid on her bed. She had cleared up her embarrassments. That was good for the day it seemed. When he stepped back and wandered and asked her if she needed anything else she looked at herself and then smirked. "I'd like a shirt. I think I'd been violated enough with eyes today to do me some good for the rest of my life." She didn't think she'd be married off anytime soon. She didn't have a self esteem about that aspect of life. Which was funny because she was actually very pretty. She also admitted to not having any relationships ever in her 22 years of life. "And maybe a bit of food.." She used the pillows to prop herself up for a bit. Wincing at her side and her ribs. She watched him for a moment before he'd do what he had to and sigh slightly. "I'm sorry by the way, Captain. I lost our bear. And practically ruined your day." She looked at her wound. She hated being wounded. If Cori had to sit in a room full of men in the most obnoxious dress ever with platform(not that they exist) shoes for 4 days. She would rather do that then be badly injured.

Had gotten a small loaf of bread to start off since it had been late when she got to the bedroom. She went to bed the moment Lorcan left her, well after she got on the shirt he gave her, with his help. She owed him; she owed him a lot. She didn't sleep very well in the bed given to her but she slept some nonetheless. In the morning she slowly got up on her own and stood up. Feeling her back and legs pop to each their own. She moved to take off her clothing and take a bath to scrub the blood and sweat off of her. She wasn't allowed to really get the stitches wet so she sat on a chair and began sponge-bathing herself as best she could and then washing her hair. Getting up she got dressed slowly and had to tuck in Lorcan's shirt into her pants with a frown. Bigger body mass. pulling the shirt's collar up as best she could. She left it baggy even though she put new bandages on her wound. Slowly moving to get the door. Walk out and hoping he'd be ok with having her go home to get clothing that wasn't his. Knocking on his room door she leaned against the beam of it. Breathing slowly and trying to blink back any tears her rib cage was giving her.

Lorcan had been asleep when a knock sounded at his door, though the noise served to jolt him awake, and he was rolling out of bed instantly and moving towards the door. He was hypersensitive to noises and such; he had to have been to be a great soldier during the war, and that ability had just stuck. Nobody had ever knocked on his door before, though, people of importance usually waited until he woke, and servants didn’t even bother to knock. So, as he headed for the door he would pick up a dagger off of the table in his bedchamber, tucking it into the waistband of his pants as he moved across the small sitting room to open the door. He looked rather ragged; his hair tousled and sleep still clouding his eyes, and he’d opted for just going to sleep in the pants he had worn last night, so he was facing whoever was at the door shirtless. He sighed, however, when he noticed that it was Cori at the door. He should have expected it, but he’d kind of hoped that she would stay in bed and either let the servants, or himself, care for her. He would shake his head and open the door wider, gesturing for her to enter, “Well come on in and sit down,” he’d say, his voice thick from sleep.

She heard him walk around and her ears had been trained to pick things up as well. Hearing a dagger through the door she smirked a bit. Cori frowned when he opened the door and looked tired. He did hack the head off of a big cat yesterday after killing a bear and getting scratched. Which is what her eyes went too when he opened the door. Even though she wasn't extremely short; and people of this time were usually under 6'.. Though Apparently that memo skipped over the Eastern Kingdom-- She didn't think any of it for herself to stare directly at his chest. What a marvelous build he had to him; she would compliment him in her head. Hey; that's how Vikings chose their wives. So. Whatever. Best body got the best man. It was just in her blood to think like this. Sure Cori keep saying this to make yourself feel better. Her eyes traveled back up to his eyes when he actually said something. When he did tell her to come in she cleared her throat. She knew that he'd want her to not do things on her own but she had every summer since she was 15. Walking in, she shimmied past him and sort of avoided touching him. She had gotten a good amount of having to touch him the day prior. "Sorry for waking you.. I haven't ever slept in a Palace. I don't really know.. How to.. Enter a room to another person. At home Caolan just walks in.." Even while she was changing. On multiple occasions. And when your 'father' is only 12 years older then you it made for awkward at times. She felt she was rambling so she shut up and pulled at Lorcan's shirt she had on as she began to slowly sit in the sitting room like she had been told too. Holding her side like as if it'd keep the stitches from busting and ruining the shirt Lorcan had let her borrow.

Lorcan would shake his head at her words, not quite in the mood for the words that he associated with whining that were spilling from her mouth. He’d shut the door, quietly as he didn’t want the sound to wake anybody else before turning to glance at Cori. He hadn’t noticed her checking him out, and the thought never crossed his mind that she would; she was a Viking after all, a Knight and a Warrior, who (he thought, anyways) wouldn’t have an interest in that. Not that he would; he didn’t enjoy the idea of looking at other people that way after his wife’s passing- it was just too painful. He would, however, notice her tugging on his shirt and such, though he wouldn’t have an answer to the problem that she was experiencing. He doubted that she would want to wear one of his sister’s dresses, and he’d found his smallest shirt for her as it was. “I can assure you, that if you had just walked into my room you wouldn’t be faring well right now,” he would say, not necessarily unkindly, but his voice and tone were gruff. He was tired, and as much as he would attempt not to act like it he didn’t sleep well either. And it wasn’t because the place he was sleeping; memories haunted him when he was winding down to sleep, and even worse when he was actually dreaming. He would realize afterwards that he hadn’t been very kind to her, though, and would shake his head, “I apologize for being rude. I fear that I am not a morning person.”

She really didn't know about his past; but she'd feel horrid when he ever did tell her. Cori wasn't the one to press on those matters. Past stories were usually painful and she didn't see it fit to question unless there was a time at hand that the truth needed to come out. Hell, she was a Viking's child. A man who killed and pillaged; and worse he raped and had stolen a woman. Some part of Cori was definitely ok that Lorcan didn't let his eyes wander on her. She felt the same respect from Connall and she felt comfortable in the Eastern Kingdom. In all honesty, she kind of felt more comfortable around the two men then she did around her father. If her brother was here she'd be even more comfortable. She missed the kid. She did however know that the two men thought her 'pretty' to say the least. Their introductions both stated the fact. "I wouldn't put it past you. That's why I knocked. I also heard you pick up the dagger." She pointed at it in his pants. "And besides. Not like I could dodge you right now.." When he'd apologize she actually looked at him with a dumbfounded expression. "No need to apologize. I recognized I was being annoying. I'm not much of a morning person either." She frowned for a moment. She felt a bit intrusive on the Captain's life. The past three days she'd been giving him a hassle. Some part of her made her look out the window and she sighed as best she could. She hated being injured; not being able to just leave everyone alone like she was trained to do by her family.

When she told him that there was no need to apologize he would roll his eyes, “Right, if I’ll buy that you might as well try to marry me off to Queen Morgan in the South,” he’d scoff, shaking his head. Even here in the East there were rumors that the woman had killed her husband, and for some very interesting reasons. Nobody was sure why, though nobody really cared enough to find out. The King had been a prick, to say the least. He would reach down to draw the dagger out of his waistband, tossing it onto the table before moving to flop down in a seat, reaching up to run his hand through his hair as he looks toward the woman. When he noticed her looking out the window he’d shake his head, withholding a sigh, “So, you must have come here for something,” he would say, frowning slightly, “What was it?” he’d ask, not really one to beat around the bush. He also figured that if it wasn’t important he’d kick her out and go back to bed, if he could, though he knew deep down that he would never be so rude. The Viking had probably wanted company or something, and he knew that even if he did go back to bed, he wouldn’t sleep.

When he said something about Queen Morgan she'd smile about the woman. "I wonder if she's like Queen Moira?" They were twins. Cori really didn't care for the speculations; besides. If she did kill the old King that was one bad man out of the picture. When Lorcan tossed the dagger she flinched a bit. But moreso a warrior's flinch. Hearing him sigh and then break her silence. She'd look at him and then wince. "I needed to ask if there was a way I would be able to go home.. I mean if you are adamant on keeping me in the palace I can't be wearing your shirt all the time." She'd pause and look down. "I mean not that you're having any problems showing your top half around here. And lacking shirts won't bother you much." That made one of them at least. "Also my pants are pretty bloody." She did bleed on them. A lot. "I uh also was threatened by a servant to put on a dress this morning." She smirked a little. "It's just in the capital here. We could walk." She wasn't really supposed to but it wouldn't hurt that bad right? She didn't think Lorcan would be up for that. Or carrying her all the way down there. "If you want me to leave and you go back to sleep for a few hours I'll treat you to a drink or two at a tavern of your choice? If not my offer stands for whenever." She was trying to be a friend. Only an ally to the man with the nice body. She didn't like intruding on his life as stated before.

When she asked if she was like Queen Moira he’d laugh and shake his head, “No, far from it. Wouldn’t even know they were twins if they didn’t tell you,” he’d say, “Queen Morgan is…something else. She’s a bit of a hothead,” he would say with a shrug. Upon hearing her ask if there was a way that she might be able to go home he’d stare at her for a minute, wondering what she thought he meant when he’d said she needed to stay at the palace. Maybe she thought he was joking or something? When she said that it wasn’t like they minded showing their top halves he would frown, his eyes narrowing, “My being shirtless was more of a need than a want,” he’d comment. When she said that it was just in the capital and they could walk he would have to hold back laughter, though he did shake his head. It seemed he was saving his laughter for when she said he could go back to sleep, because when she did it would burst from his lips, so hard that it caused his ribs to hurt. After he was through he’d shake his head again, “Oh, Gods…” he’d utter, chuckling softly. “No, you cannot go walking about the Capital. And no, I can’t go back to sleep. I’ll send a servant to your home, or I’ll go myself. Shouldn’t you be resting in bed? Physician said not to walk around too much.”

She kind of gave off a smirk, like she'd enjoy Morgan a bit more then Moira in all honesty. But Cori would probably but heads with her. She'd tilt her head a bit and think about the twins thing. She knew they weren't Identical so it intrigued her. When he gave her the face and expressed his losing a shirt more then a need she'd crack a smile at him. A wide, toothy smile. "Oh, Captain. I was just picking on you. I understand the mechanics of having someone bleeding out in front of you. Hell, I'd strip my shirt off too." When he began laughing at her about sleeping she'd actually tilt her head in confusion. But then thought on the matter of a fact he was a war veteran she'd straighten her head in understanding. Or so she thought she was understanding. She was most likely a slouch-forward-sort of gal so not being able to bend her abdomen was a piss off and she kept forgetting that too. When he declined her getting up and walking she frowned visibly and looked angry for a moment. Her sharp cheekbones gave her a wild look. Sighing and nodding. "I gather I should." She was restless. The sort of woman who had to do something. When he suggested he or a servant would go she grabbed her key from around her neck and tossed it at him. "I can't stand laying down for the entire day."

When she frowned he would lift his brows, readying himself for whatever might come out of her mouth; the anger on her face forcing him to think that she might go off on him. When she didn’t, and instead said that she probably should he would nod, smiling when she tossed a key to him. He would catch it, feeling rather accomplished despite the fact that she said that she can’t stand laying down all day, “I don’t think any good Knight can, but sometimes you have to,” he’d say with a shrug before moving to the door. He would pull it open, just managing to catch sight of a servant before he turned down the hall, “Boy!” he would call out, beckoning to him when he inched back. When the boy was in front of him he would hold out the key, “The Lady Knight, Cori Frighil, needs clothing and such from her home. Bring her back kilts and pants, no dresses. And if you don’t return within the hour I will come looking for you,” he would assure the boy, giving him a stern look, “And you won’t like to see what will happen when I find you,” he says before grinning at the boy, “Now go.” After he was finished scaring the crap out of the boy he would turn back into the room, closing the door behind him. “Well, you’ll have clothes within the hour.”

She saw his eyebrow lift. Cori could almost swear he felt the answer radiate off her. When he retorted to her she went to reply to Lorcan, however, he got up and gave a talking to the boy she would add "And shirts!" Smiling at the boy from her perch on the chair. She really liked kids so it didn't bother her when the boy smiled back and sped off away from Lorcan. "I didn't know you were so good with children." She said sort of sarcastically. But she was ignorant to his late wife and newborn to fully understand that he had planned one day to be a father. Bit she meant well with it. "Should I take my leave? To lay back down and stop driving you mad?" She felt like her mother for saying the words she just said but in the end her mother usually was annoying her father.

Upon hearing her comment he felt a sharp pain in his chest, barely a fraction of the pain he’d felt when he’d lost his wife and son in the same night, but incredibly painful nonetheless. He would close his eyes for a moment, swallowing past a lump in his throat, “No, I just know that when little boys have keys to houses that they like to steal things that they find. Now he won’t,” he would say, opening his eyes and shrugging his shoulders. Afterward he would move to sit in a chair beside his bed, reaching up to run his fingers through his hair. When he heard her question he’d shrug, “You can leave if you’d like, if not I wouldn’t mind keeping you company for a while,” he would say, struggling to keep his tone void of emotion, though he did manage to. “You’ll have to excuse me for a moment while I change, though,” he would comment before quickly moving into his bedchambers. He would quickly drag a shirt on before swapping pants, moving to the wash basin to scrub water over his face before he finally moves back into the sitting room, wondering if the Viking would still be there.
