Ranait had stopped by the audience chamber for some reason while on her way back from seeing Alpin off for his trip to Carnaghan. A sigh drifted from her lips as worry over him had her fidgeting with her dress. She knew that she probably shouldn't worry about him quite so much, but for whatever reason she did. Shaking her head she squared her shoulders and entered the audience chamber, not really paying attention to see if there was anyone else in there. Once in a while she'd visit the room. It was probably the most well decorated room of the palace, and had the most intricately carved stonework in the walls. Truly it was just a beautiful room, and that was probably part of why she'd found herself wandering in to it today. When she entered the chamber she glanced around at the walls and found herself wandering along next to them. The tapestry in tribute to an old king and queen hung in this particular room. Probably so that everyone who visited the palace had the opportunity to see it. She was lost in thought as she wandered along the walls. How much longer would she call the palace home? How much longer until Moira returned from her trip? Just silly thoughts like that.

Aeden had been causing a ruckus with his nephew since happening upon the lad the night before. They'd gotten kicked out of the library and then likely gone off to either find other women to flirt with or a place to catch up before bed. He'd woken up early and with the direction of some servants found Esras's rooms at the palace. Then he'd gone and woken his nephew up by jumping on his bed and harassing the crap out of him in the process. When Esras had finally gotten out of bed he'd dragged the poor kid all over the palace. He didn't typically spend much time at the palace himself, so when he was here he liked to both harass his nephew and do some wandering. He found that the door to the audience chamber was open, and so he pushed his nephew inside, following himself shortly afterwards. He glanced around the chamber and spotted a pretty little girl wandering around as if she were lost in her own little world. He elbowed his nephew and pointed towards the girl. "She's a pretty one. Betcha I can make her smile before you can," he said with a grin.

When his uncle shoved him into the audience chamber he would laugh, turning to shove him only to stop as he catches sight of Ranait. A broad grin would immediately dance over his face as he stands up a bit taller, reaching down to brush off the front of his shirt as he glances at her. She seemed to just be walking along the audience chamber, probably bored because the Queen was gone. When he felt his uncle elbow him before saying that she was a pretty one and betting that he could make her smile first he would frown, his brows furrowing as he turns to glare at his uncle, “That’s Ranait. The lady in waiting to the Queen…the lady I was talking to you about,” he would say with a shake of his head, only to laugh softly. “And if there’s anybody that can make her smile, it’s me,” he would say, his tone cocky as he shoves his uncle before straightening once again and moving after the lady, “You are certainly the prettiest Angel that I have ever seen,” he would call out to the young woman, his lips splitting in a wide grin.

Cahir had decided he'd do some sort of political thing while the Queen was gone; some would consider this act though because she went off to see the King of the East and many had considered the King Connall to be much more attractive then Cahir was. But Cahir would scoff off the accusation and say he was just a giant who was minute to the charm Cahir could lather on.
When he heard the two Knights talk about Ranait he'd eyeroll but then once his eyes hit the innocent woman something sparked. A smile creased his face; some would call this grin the shit-eating grin---but in reality. Cahir wasn't into that sort of thing. IfyouknowwhatImean. He moved past the men with that grin. "I'm sure I could make her smile in ways neither of you could.. Dream" He somewhat teased the two men. Cahir was wearing a high collared black shirt with golden embroidery and a black pair of leather pants; which was natural to see a King wear. The King would visibly eyeroll to the younger Knight's attempt. Walking over to his throne. Letting the two fools amuse him. He needed something to do while the woman who led the country was gone. Not that anything was done between them that's for sure.
Moira was pretty. But just not his type of pretty.

The sound of voices and other people entering the audience chamber didn't completely escape her attention, but it wasn't something that she was interested in at the moment. Instead she continued her wandering. However, when she heard a familiar voice she whirled around to find Esras walking across the chamber towards her. "Esras," she said with a look on her face as if she'd just been caught doing something that she shouldn't be doing. She bit her lower lip as she debated how to greet him. He didn't know that she'd gone and gotten married. Never mind the fact that she'd gone and fallen in love. Her gaze traveled past Esras to another man who looked very similar to the young knight, and then shifted again at the sound of a voice that she'd only heard in passing. And it was all she could do not to curl her lip in disgust as she caught sight of the "king." She flicked her gaze back to Esras and flashed him an uncertain smile. "I've told you repeatedly that I'm not an angel," she said with a shake of her head. And she certainly didn't feel like one now. How could she have forgotten about Esras? Well. She hadn't completely forgotten about him. Just. Not really thought about him much since actually marrying Alpin.

Aeden's eyebrows rose at his nephew's glare followed by the words that came from him. However before he could respond the king, if you could call him that, had entered the chamber and made some snide remark about making the lady smile in ways that neither of them could. "Yeah, well, we all know what they say about small hands," he muttered before he darted across the room after his nephew. A grin plastered itself to his face and he shoved one shoulder into one of Esras's. "Oh, but lady, he's right. You are an angel," he dared to interrupt when she claimed that she wasn't one. "And, I would have to say that you're a very pretty little angel at that," he said, flashing her the grin and wink that he was used to making women go weak at the knees. He had no way of knowing that she, of course, had interest in only one man. He only knew about her what Esras did, and therefore had no idea that she'd already been married or fallen in love with the man that she'd married. He watched Esras's reaction out of the corner of his eye. He was just doing this to harass his nephew and hoped the boy knew he didn't actually mean anything by it.

He would immediately grow angry upon hearing the King’s voice, the grin falling from his face as he turns to glare at him, his brows furrowing together as his eyes narrow, “I would never talk to a lady in such a way. I, for one, am not a vile pig,” he would say lowly though his voice rumbled up from deep in his chest. He forgot about it for the most part when his attention returned to Ranait, smiling softly when she looked at him, despite the fact that she hadn’t smiled just yet. When she finally did he would frown slightly, feeling almost as if something was off, “And I told you that you are. I tend to be right,” he would laugh, shrugging. When his uncle showed up and shoved into his shoulder he would shoot a dirty look at him, his eyes narrowing slightly at his flirting before turning back to Renny with a grin, “Uncle, this is Ranait O’Halloran, lady in waiting to the Queen,” he would murmur, “And Ranait, this is my uncle. The Knight Aedan McCoy,” he would finish, grinning broadly, “Yes, he’s the old man that all of you ladies of the court hear about,” he would laugh, teasing his uncle.

He would be lying if he cared about the grumbles the knights produced. Truly. But he was a vile pig and well. He never had a woman complain about having some sort of pleasure from the King; so he'd probably--if he heard the older knight say it-- would make a come back on how the hands were making up for his enormous entity.
Watching the lady be introduced again and Aeden as well. He knew both knights a little bit. Not enough to really be interested. So when Ranait ended up giving him the dirtiest of looks he'd actually give her a wicked grin. "Watch it girl.. You won't like me when I am interested. You don't have Moira to hide behind today." He'd somewhat threaten her. Ok, no. It was a threaten. And his accent went sick against the name of his wife. He even disrespected the Queen enough to not address her as the Queen in his audience room. But he was the King and to Cahir; that meant he could do as he pleased. And Angel, his ass. He had seen many a virgin in his time; Ranait did not even breath virgin or angelic. Mind you she usually gained favour from his wife. Though Cahir would admit that Moira didn't have any bouts of favour over Cahir in anything aside from allowing him to sit on his throne and have whatever woman he wanted.

She couldn't help but giggle at Esras's come back and she shook her head. "You just think you're right," she teased gently. When his uncle arrived and agreed with him a blush would cover her cheeks, but she wouldn't say anything to the other man until after Esras had introduced him. She dipped a quick curtsy to the man and flashed a small smile. "Pleased to meet you, Lord McCoy," she said politely. When Cahir spoke to her she'd glance his way, but didn't deem what he'd said worthy of a response. She might not have Moira to hide behind, but she was naive enough to think that he wouldn't try anything with two knights in the room. Especially considering the fact that they were both obviously armed and much larger than he was. So, no. She wasn't afraid of any threat he might make against her. Besides. She had Alpin's guards that he'd left for his daughter's sake when she wasn't in the presence of the two knights. Her attention flicked back to Esras and she debated with herself on how she might present what had happened since she'd last seen him. But she couldn't think of a way to broach the subject just yet. Instead she flashed him another small smile. "How have you been," she asked with a tilt of her head.

He caught his nephew's dirty look before the boy introduced him and Ranait. However, he was much more interested in harassing his nephew than he was in taking the dirty look to mean he should shut up and behave. So when Esras introduced them and she dipped a curtsy to him he grabbed one of her hands and pressed a kiss to the back of it. "Pleasure to meet you, Lady O'Halloran," he said casting a sideways glance at his nephew before shooting the lady a grin. He heard the king's threat to Ranait and stood up, his back going rigid. The fact that the man would threaten her in front of him told him just what a jackass the king really was. A growl built up in his chest, but he refused to give the king what he wanted; a reaction. Instead he kept his attention on his nephew and the little lady. He'd dropped her hand so that she could let it fall back to her side and turned a wicked grin upon his nephew. He leaned his head a bit closer so that only Esras could hear what he said next. "I'm just messing with you, kid. Relax a bit," he said with a short laugh.

When he heard the King’s voice again he would whirl around, his brows rising, “You, King, would be wise to remember that you’re talking to a Lady, not a whore. And who you’re talking to her in front of,” he would spit out, forgetting himself for a moment. He was still young, and could be forgiven for being a little hotheaded from time to time, especially because he knew that the King was a figurehead if he’d ever seen one. He doubted he would care enough to do anything about it, nor would he have enough power around here to do such a thing. And even if he did, Esras liked to think that his uncle would help him get out of whatever mess he might get himself into. After speaking to the man he would turn back to Renny, just in time to catch sight of his uncle kissing the woman’s hand. He would blink, a frown developing over his face as he glances between the two people, only to have his uncle move a bit closer to whisper something to him. He could only laugh at what he said, shifting to playfully shoulder him before turning back to Renny, “I’ve been great. Still just as bad at Gaelic…though I think I’ve missed a few lessons,” he would laugh with a shake of his head.

The King was bored for a second by the lady in waiting and older knight standing their ground against his statements. But Esras snapped and brought a wicked smile to Cahir's face. "Oh yes? And what are a pair of knights going to do to their King?" You can't blame the man for not knowing his politics. All he knew was about seeing his pillows and seeing her pillows.
When he was ignored again though the King hummed a little. Their banter had become to bore him halfway through. When the older knight kissed Renny on the hand he scoffed a little. Renny's arrogance towards him (or so that's what he thought it was) pulled a string in him that made him stand up again and walk to Renny after the two knights joked around. "Alright well. If you wish to play that game.." The game of ignoring the King when he makes a threat to you that is. "Maybe I will overstep these two knights and consider you for the next appointment in my bed?" He gave her a wicked smile. A smile that read 'no one could stop me'. Because Moira did give him bedding capabilities. His eyes looked only at Renny's body, he ignored who he had in his company.

She blushed when Aeden grabbed her hand and pressed a kiss to the back of it. However her attention was quickly returned to Esras when he said what he did to the king and she actually visibly cringed at the words that came out of his mouth. When he turned back to her and joked about having missed a few lessons in Gaelic she couldn't help but laugh. "No one's fault but your own," she said, teasing him. However, when the king pushed his way passed Aeden and Esras and walked up to her she would balk at his presence and then again at the next words out of his mouth. A growl erupted from her throat before she could contain it. "I have no interest in the likes of you, highness," she said, mocking in her tone at the last word. It would be easy to tell what she thought of the man who claimed the title of king. The disgust written across her face should scream it pretty loudly, actually. Her gaze flicked to Esras and Aeden, hoping that if she needed the back-up from the two of them they would be willing to give it. She might have been able to knock her brothers on their asses, but she wasn't sure what the king may or may not be capable of.

He would narrow his eyes upon hearing the King’s question, “I have no King. I have a Queen, and her name is Moira,” he would snap, his eyes flashing with anger. It was true for the most part; he’d been knighted by the Queen and had pledged his sword to her service, not this man-whore’s. His attention had turned to Renny once again, and he was just starting to smile when the King shoved his way past him and his uncle to get closer to the lady. He would narrow his eyes at the man, immediately moving to shove him away from the lady, positioning himself in front of her so that the man couldn’t even look at her, “I’ve already told you, she isn’t one of your nasty whores,” he would snap, his hand finding the sword that was hanging from his belt. “What is your problem?” he would ask, a snarl finding its way to his lips as he steps closer to the man. He couldn’t believe that the man who was calling himself King could act in such a manner, and it both disgusted him and enraged him at the same time.

He'd chuckle at Esras' words. Had the King been so powerless towards even his knights from his order. But in the end he couldn't retort to that. Aside from the words. "Yes but Moira isn't here. And she has left me to be able to play with my Kingdom and its knights that serve my political wife." He never dabbled in these things so this was actually out of his character.
When he was shoved and the Knight grabbed the hilt of his sword his eyebrows raised. "Are you challenging me Lord Kavanagh?" He'd say with a sickened tone. A cackle came to his lips. Looking to Renny and shook his head. "He doesn't know how little of the angel is left now does he?" Ah so Cahir had some knowledge by just looking at women. He also was known to not like virgins; thus why his poor wife was left without even an embrace from the King. He didn't think of her completely below him. But he thought loving Moira was completely below him. He grabbed the sword's sheath that was at his own side and sighed a little. "What and were should we deal with this sort of business Esras?" He called the knight by his first name.
